is it common to go over the recommended flowering time? i am nearing my 10th week into flowering and i have yet to get that many cloudy trichomes. i am going for that couchlock high so i want to pull when i c some amber. i am growing aurora indica and the flowering time is 9-11 weeks. just curious if yall have run over your time before?

flowring time is just an estimate all plants are difffgerent givin by the growing conditions

ex. you may shock the plant and set back its time a week or 2

Also, some breeders use from the moment you switch to 12/12 and some use from when the plant "enters" flowering. Could be almost 2 weeks difference there is some strains.

Each strain is different, and each strain can have different flowering times, seed to seed. That is why alot of people clone. You know each plant will be like the other.

Best of luck.

yeah, i agree with what everyone else has had to say.. most of the time the flowerin period is only a basic outline at best as there are far too many factors that play into a plants actual finishing time..
you sound like you are doing the right thing by letting the plant tell you when she is done by looking at the trics and harvesting when they are where you like them to be..
just one other note, i would think that some breeders may not be exactly truthfull when giving flowering times as you would think that sometimes saying that a plant 12 weeks to flower instead of saying 8 weeks or whatever may turn off a lot of buyers who maybe looking for a shorter flowering time.. not that i am trying to say that any breeder would ever lie to us, lol.. but just a thought..
best of luck with the rest of your grow m8..

just went through this myself, had a northern lights with 8 week breeder recommend(from 12/12)
i was at 11 weeks, still loaded with clear trics, bit of amber
so i cut, she was fine smoke, but if i had gone farther it would have been better
here's her last tric pic

YES! and it sucks some times having to go longer than you expected but if it needs it, give it. look a my 1st grow, i was going for 8 weeks finish, now im looking at 10 weeks.

You should have a good 2-3 week harvest window when growing indoors. It's always best to go a little longer than to chop early (easier said than done, I know).bongsmilie

thx guys for the advice! i figured there was no exact time limit, do to a million variables that control what the plant does but this is my first grow and im so damn impatient!!! i just about cut those damn things for the 2nd time but i guess ill wait a little longer.

the plant will tell you when it is ready. cloudy trichs = more heady high, amber trichs = more stony high, i wouldnt let them go past 25-30% amber before i cut though or they will start to degrade.

And to confuse matters even more some strains have the most THC well before most Thrichs are amber. Amber also shows that your THC is degrading and your CBC is higher.

THC = upy trippy high
CBC = Couch lock/pain releif
