no pics maybe later tonight if web cam works even then proly wun be good pics.. so i will try to describe the problem the best that i can

3 seedlings
2about 1 week old maybe a few more days there on there 3-4th node and about 2-3 inches tall..
1 few days old has its first single serated leaves..

65+night temp never lower
lights on temp ramges from 82ish to 91ish at times(record high since start) Farenhieght

45-55 humidity most of the time its pretty steady

5 cfl's.. 4 26watt 6500k and 1 42 watt 2700

20/4 light schedule

hyponex soil
perlite
vermiculture
4in square pots

bag seed but very indica dominate

new growth tips have had a purple since first set of leaves(all) 1 had more purple than the other and the other from same bag.. had justa tinge of purple and but they grow out of it leaving justa tinge of purple on one and none on the other when the leaves grow the tinge is only on the top ridges on new leaf growth

and the other seedling has a lil p[urple also but not as mature(not to worried about the purple though from wut i have read)

ok the big question

the other day i noticed a rusty more pumpkin orange/rusty/light tanish color color spot on the more purple one i look this afternoon and th spot has got bigger and spread a lil bit but more lil orangish spots and blackish/grayish blotches on them, the spots kinda got a shinny surface have appeared on all!!!! but only on the first true serated leaves.. when u lift the leaf and look under and towards the light the blackish gray spots are all over the first set of true serated leaves.

i used fish fert and peroxied and a lil root starter after they were about 1inch tall and on the un opened seedling VERY!! minute strenth ahve nuted since they showed no signs of burn at all.. now its been proly 4-5 days since that (just watering when soil is dry) and yesturday i saw the orange spot and today is a lil bigger and the blackish grayish spot ar also on the rest of the plants. i hope this make sense to sum one could really use the insight looked all over the FAQ and search isn't working >.<:-(

oh and once i seen all the spot and plants needed water i flushed themrun off was pretty clear i presonally didn't see ne yellow tinge

so ne ideas wut it may be?

so i have looked. so if ur gunna just tell me to search or go look in FAQ.. please dun waste ur time posting it...also please don't critazize me for feeding earlyi know i know i know.. it was a slight experiment they actually seemd to love it witha big shot of growth they looked healthy as can be then these damn spot apearred yesturday..

thanks to all who read this for their time and input. thank you.

i don't havea ph metter yet but its on the to get list

I had the same prob. with mine when they were little, with a little investigating i figured out that i was over nutting, thats why there was a def. flush ur plant with straight up h20 and wait a day or two, see if it still spreads, mine stopped and i cut my nutes in half, now shes healthy as can be

thanx for the info it is greatly appreciated.
the first day i seen it i watched it. seemed to be spreading but let it go another day just in case it was a blemish or sumthing.. then it really spread so i flushed right away once i was postive it was spreading it seems to have at least slowed/stopped since the flush. still no spots or wut not on the other leaves. also added a bigger exhaust fan and took them outa the stright wind of the comp fan and rose the lights to bout 4inches away from the top temp is bout 85ish at tops of the plants. checked this morning they seem perkier. hope the problem is solved.
(((( maybe "wind burn" combined with high heat?))))

(also if ne one knos a link or can post a pic of wond burn that would be awesome .. i can't seem to find a good pic.)

also a lil twist 1 of them has orange brown crusty mid section its like dry and dead and its bro/sis (germed same time) only has the blackish grayish spots in the mid section of the leaf and the other lil seedling

What ur saying sounds like a mix between heat and nuts, these babies can handle alot of wind, as long as the leaves are not hitting the fan blade

week old seedlings? you shouldn't be doing anything to them. not watering not feeding. one watering will last a week. they barely have any roots. they won't need food for at least 3 more weeks.

i think you are over watering. without seeing pics. :)

the roots are threw out the soil tipped them up side down yesturday and the roots were white and fuzzy(micro root as i under stand?) the soil dry fairly quick since the problem they actually been using less watter they are about 3 inches tall and on their 4-5th nodes and the tips of the fan leaves are just reaching outside the rims of the pots

Your getting light burn IMO, don't sweat it just get a little ventilation and don't let your leaves touch the lights.

thx for the input but i don't think its a venting prob and they have never been closer than 1in" to the lights

im using 5 cfl's and they're all at least 2-3 inches away i have a small comp fan(intake)blowing just over the plants to where they just wiggle and keep the tops at around 85f tops... usualy 77-82ish

and i have 2 2"in. passive intakes and 120 computer fan for exhaust

i have emergancy blanket in the shinny side reflecting(this good or no? couldn't find ne info on that one when making the box if it is bad i already have the inside painted flat white)

I'd say that the guy above has given you the answer already :-) Give those delicate root systems a chance to develop!

Personally I NEVER feed seedlings and I only use a spray bottle for the first 2 weeks so its impossible to accidentally overwater them, just spray the soil lightly around them.

Anyway, just sounds like you have overdone it a little and burnt them. You wont stop those damaged leaves now BUT good news is as the plant develops it will grow through that stage if you correct things now.

Dont try to rush nature, let it happen, sit back and try to enjoy watching them grow and develop :-)

Thats good :-) If they felt at all warm and damp may be worth just potting up slightly to give them some fresh 'clean' soil to stetch into. They will grow through this stage so dont worry.

Can I ask why you decided to feed them so soon? Where you trying to correct some kind of issue that soon?

Pics wil help once you get them up :-)

yes, that appears to be over watering. the leaves are curling under as well, which means over watering. i'd just leave them alone for 3 or 4 days. :)

k i won't water for awhile but wut the grey and black now turning brown spots keep spreading to more leaves? keep in mind they were flushed about 36hrs ago. and haven't had nutes for at least a week and been flushed twice(when dry) so the i know at least the half the reason for the droppiness but the one with purple the more messed up one has also seemed droppy from the start like when i got ne of its 3+ leaves the middle leaf would stick out like normal and the side leaves kinda curl under the middle one but the oter greener plant the edges at the base of the leaf have also seemed to kinda point more upwards like the praying sysmtom and the side leaves were more flat and normal also the main stems are getting redder/more purple on them and growth seems to be slowing everyday

so i know they're over watered atm thx - fdd

but wut about the destroyed leaves? they have a crispy feel and sounds crispy if u brush against them. and it is spreading rapidly... u think it is a def. or an on going nute burn after 2 flushes?

(i only flushed a second time cuase the spots moved to the next set of leaves also the soil was very dry, so it was time fora watering and figured i'd flush it since the spots started spreading again)

thx u all for your time and input
