When I had my Wisdom teeth removed they gave me Vicodin, a bunch.

When I read the bottle it said "Alcohol may enhance the effects"

Hellooo Jack Daniels :bigjoint:

I sat in my living room and cranked up the stereo and drank shots.

Nothing bothered me much. :joint::peace:

Whatever.

I ate steak THE DAY AFTER my surgery.

I smoked cigs THE WHOLE TIME, and smoked weed ON THE REGULAR.

I didn't get dry sockets.
You just gotta use that "water pick" syringe thing they give you, and keep yourself clean :dunce:
I smoked during surgery and was ok.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I just got back, and she gave me some milder Tylenol 3s that never made me sick. I was leaning towards a cold water extraction, but I wasn't sure, and didn't want to lead anyone to that conclusion. Weed is also out of the equation for a few days.

Finshaggy, I'm not sure you know what a dry socket is, or how it's caused. Thank you for your input though.

Also, I want to apologize to fasts10. It was 2 am and the pain was keepin me up. I was being an asshole. Thanks for the concern.
Well,
Good luck with the new script :D

All opiates make me sick as well. I feel your miserablity. You can puff if you want to Louis. Just soak acouple cotton balls in the Antiseptic oral rinse they gave you, pack them loosely into the sockets, then puff away. The smoke won't interrupt the healing process if the gums are sealed from said smoke. Not talking out my ass either, I did this everyday when I got my wisdom teeth out while was still heavily addicted to cigarettes.

I wasn't talking out of my ass either....

I smoked weed everyday, with nothing blocking the sockets.
I smoked cigs everyday with nothing blocking the sockets.
And I ate steak the day after the surgery.

Just take some codone, you won't feel SHIT.
And keep your sockets clean :D

That sentence was implying that I don't, not that you did.

A dry socket is not caused by smoke. It's when you inhale to sharply, or suck on something (Like a blunt, or more notoriously, bong.) and the blood clot (The scab that stops the bleeding.) comes out. Terribly painful from everything I've heard.

I believe both of you, but that doesn't make it a good idea. Not to say I'm not gonna smoke, I just do it very sparingly, and very carefully.

I had a girlfriend get them removed once, and I just shotgunned her hits :D

At first I read "I just shotgunned her TITS" instead of HITS. Well that would explain why you HAD a girlfriend. They don't like shotguns to the tits!

Nice. Great minds think alike. I already told my gf i will probably need her blowing services. I think she misunderstood though.

Lol.

No,
I was helping, not motorboating

I was in the Dentist's office with her, and they called me in to tell me what to do, because there was no way in hell she'd remember.
But she was asking "What mg are they" and how many she had, and if they were "the good ones"

It was hilarious.

She asked the Doctor if she could smoke,
And she said that if I hit it first, and shotgunned, there should be no problem.
But also said "I didn't say that though." Like "You didn't hear that from me"

part of it is u are in bed standing up... that drug is a "basal dialator" meaning it opens up yur veins and arteries and makes them pump alot of blood to the brain and u get dizzy very easy. also its the euforia causing u to get sick too. u just are sensitve to the pain meds, stay away from them u dont need em.

I agree.
I really dont now. But it was damn near impossible to sleep without them before the extraction, and right after the surgery.

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Mouth pain can be excruciating. And also I can't believe I got excruciating on the first try! :)
