I believe he has them in a tent, so prolly just running a carbon filter I would think.

Oh and so maximus, how do you think it would work if you tryed running it from seed, still one week veg, then straight into 12/12? I was just thinking that if you were to start form seeds, that you could prolly just go ahead and put the seedlings right into the system since they would be so light. I don't know just a thought. It would be alot of seeds. I was mostly thinking about a first run situation, unless you had access to a lot of seed.

The only thing that sucks with seeds or lowryders, is pulling out the males. I think it would be a hastle to look for all of them, then pull them out. Too bad you can't clone lowryders or I bet this would be ideal.

I got a question for you about the shipping since you said it came on a crate due to its size. Do you need a fork lift to take it off the truck or will they simply upstrap it, take it off the palet, then deliver? Also, did you ship it to your house/apartment?

From what I've read about all rotary systems, you have to start your clones in the rockwool in a static grow, to get them to root, other wise they won't stay in the cubes when they are upside down.

naaa you dont need that...once you have your clones rooted in plugss all you have to do is put them in the 4 by 4 cube and pinch the sides of the rockwool around the plug and it will hold it...or on some of them i used cut up rockwool to wegde in place...however within a day or 2 the roots will grow into the blocks......

even with seeds it wouldnt be a bad idea...just use feminized seeds...my local shop did a test run of romaine ...with a 360 gi grow...they planted them all in seed in rock wool cubes..the transfered them into the blocks that were on the wheel

The only things you need to max that wheel out are: CO2,enclose wheel with mylar(adhere w/ velcro around wheel for maximum reflectivity), flower @ 1 ft. with aggressive pruning(bottom half or better(these systems are designed specifically for flower TOPS)) You should be able to pull 2 lbs with ease with tried n true strain and of course a little knowledge. Also, whoever posted @ the beginning about octagon grow w/ 3000 watts only pulling 6.24 lbs or sumpin, that sounds like Gov't work or some shit, they obviously didn't know what the fuck was goin on. It doesnt matter how much light you throw at it, it doesn't really matter what brand of nutrients you're using or that you can actually get a plant to grow period...It's the knowledge you gain through trial and error instead of asking a question on a forum such as one of these and getting some off the wall dis-information from some wannabe. Just my opinion, I could be wrong....

- sorry i didnt weigh them individually

- carbon filter for small

- i like cuttings and they dont shoot like plants from seeds do

- lowrider sound like it may take a spin in the wheel

- ya root em flat then into the larger cubes (3 inch for the VG) and they cant fall out of the larger cube if the are rooted into the smaller one the way the VG cube holder is.

the system is very light so even though it ships on a pallet its only tied down with plastic strapping and shrink wrap so a pair of scissors or box cutter and you have it free in a minute.

i picked mine up from the shipping companies loading dock which is the best option if security is an issue and of course it is. all you have to do is use a first name but make sure you dont tell anyone other then omega what name you wanna use or someone else can pick it up and you will be outa luck.

the volksgarden will fit into a many mini vans but not necessarily all of them, or a small pickup truck

If someone is thinking of ordering this, I would suggest having your local hydro store order it, pay cash, and picking it up from them so that the delivery isn't to your house or anything and it can't be traced to you in any way. If you're the paranoid type, drive to a hydro shop outiside of your local area.

On the subject of cuttings falling out, we were talking about rooting clones in it, just bare stems...(Which may or may not be possible even with a lot of work to stake and pin them.) Of course clones with roots won't fall out.

And you wouldn't do anything in one of these but clones. Seeds are too inconsistant in growth and you cant control the flower height of auto's like you can clones of the same normal plant.

personally i think you are better off picking it up from the shipper because its not a hydro store, i dont like going to hydro stores and sure wouldnt want to load up a truck at one. cops are not watching the shipping company for hydro purchases. system ships without markings and the shippers dont know or care whats in the boxes. and you dont have to give them any info beside the name you give omega, so i find that preferable to a hydro store any day

Maximusbutulus.. wants you to buy direct from hIm "omegagardens" he gets full retail, if you buy from a hydro he gets wholesale. Buying Omega direct is very scary, Please be careful.

On a lighter note

Only a rotational grower can produce cool lettuce swirls like this. Thank goodness bud doesn't react so crazily
