Road kill skunk is still alive in New Mexico. The hippy fucks who have it just will not part with beans or clones. I used to get it for $200 an ounce then it dbled to $100 a qt oz and now its up to $20 a gram. Fuck that! Its good weed but for $140 a qt oz. ill stick to buying the Cali orange thats killing it.
Cali orange, one of my favourites. Wish I could get some of the real stuff.

Well maybe then we should see if we can recreate this strain agian!
But we have to know the correct geneology first.
Now today's shunk#1 is supposed to be comprised of:
Columbian gold, acapulco gold, thai, and afghani!
I wonder if these are the same genetics of the original???
I personally think the original had no thai genetics, because thai's are usually more on the sweet tangy side, but i cant be sure.
Does anyone have true knowledge to these old skunk genetics

It's nearly impossible to get that bodhi always seems sold out. Man seems like someone would bring back rks look at all the interest in it.

Is it possible that with all the newer indoor technique and nutes and just general improvement in growing knowledge has cause the RKS pheno to be overlooked? Maybe popping some beans and sticky to only 1970's method would cause some variation that may be being missed? I dunno, just a theory?

Also, my taste in weed has changed so much. Pine used to make me so happy, it was among the best flavors I had 20 years ago. Now I just don't care much for piney stuff. My taste have grown up and I have sampled tons more strains.

Superskunk from Nevil is skunk 1 x Afgan T
afgan t is nl2 x maple leaf indica from Ortega.
It definatly had RKS potential.

Hi Nevil, great to have you here. Your online presence is another piece of canna history in the making.
What I would like to ask you is your experiences with "Road-Kill Skunk" (RKS) as we who know it call it. This is a smell trait that is highly desired here. After trying a few different Skunk #1 lines I am unsure if the one I speak of is from that genepool. Many describe a short stout afghani type with golf-ball buds. The one I know as. RKS was a random hermaphrodite seed, who subsequently made seed thereafter. I gave my last of this seed to a friend who was going to keep her going.. Well he lost it, oh well it was hermaphrodite. I would like to attempt to describe her to see if you would happen to know where I might find more plants like it?

Her structure was sativa hybrid, started at 45N at the end of July 2002. She reached 5 feet tall and had to be brought inside to finish. Flowering time was about 11 weeks. The buds did not foxtail but were airy like a denser pheno of SSH, these were not golf ball nuggets. The plant had an upright structure with a hybrid "designer" leaf, not indica but not huge sativa lengrh. The odor was offensive piss and skunk through the plastic, through the pocket, small undertone in the citrus parameter. The flavor was full, skunky, garlicky, and satisfying. The high would wash over you from the spine over the top of the head, right into the eyes with one fluid reaction from a fairly expansive smoke. The potency would result in blurred vision initially and a physical stupor that was felt mainly in the head for roughly two hours. The real treasure of this strain was that initial hit but the odor and corresponding flavor had you biased.
I have tried the SSH and I know there is a stinky indica and a catpissy/skunky sativa but they aren't the RKS. The high/stone was heady butr much more physical feeling than SSH yet on the same or better power level.
What's your guess?

Looking at pics it looks close to the Afghan Haze but I haven't heard if such odor traits are to be found in that genepool. Could you also tell us about the G13 and haze combination please?

Hi SP
Your describing Super Skunk. Same mother as the Afghan Hz. Afghan T was a pretty special Maple Leaf. I called her the Skunk Archetype.
G13 Hz was surprisingly sweet. Not a heavy yielder but great smoke.

Also I was wrong on bhodis rks

You would think breeder's would've stabilized that strain, instead of watering it down with these Sugar+Spice flavors of new skunks.
The real stuff had everything...Potency/Flavor/Smell/Yield> The buds were dense + huge, outdoor monsters

they reduced the stench for LEO reasonings...Sam Skunkman is a DEA RAT and made the breed to help LEO...the non LEO affiliated breeders took it down and sweetened it to combat that effect of helping LEO

Sounds about right. Years ago I asked Ortega about his rks and he informed me it was on lock. He mentioned he used the rks xafghani in the MLI and f2's from the MLI should produce some great rks phenos. Anybody want to bet that greenthumb will be the first to offer it in seed form?

Btw, where can I snag some sensi seeds garlic bud seeds? Seems like there isnt any seedbanks offering it. I am sure ortega used the rks for that breed as well.

I saw true strait up skunk i mean absolute rks in PA circa 2000. Smoked an 1/8 of it at a Pantera show in early 2001. Was getting mids that were strait up skunk around the same time...my mum used to come down and check outside checkin for a skunk. but godamn those mids werent that seedy but i bet i threw away 100's of em at that time because they were around for like a year strait...id kill to have those seeds. Maye if i ever c my dude again from that time id ask him about his hookup bc those dudes may still be around. Dont think they were growin it but you go up the food chain ya kno. From what i read the G13 labs super skunk is the best reviewed rks. I smell a slight skunk in a lot of strains maybe all we gota do is do a little breeding to bring it back out. If ya want something done right you gota do it yourself.
