Day 5 of flower

They've reacted really well to the tea brew I made. Looking pretty healthy. They've deffinitely been stretching since the flip, growth from day to day is pretty noticeable.

Been giving them liquid botanicare bloom base in lighter amounts roughly 2 out of every 3 waterings, with a couple plants here in there getting a little less nutes or little more based off what they're telling me.
On top of that they're getting ~1.5ml/g silica, between 2 and 3 ml/g cal mag plus, and between 2 and 4 ml/g bud candy.

The tea brew I made consisted of earthworm castings, crab shell meal and already bagged compost tea bags.
I'll probably give them atleast one more tea at some point coming up. I'd like to get a good feel for this bloom base that I'm using first.

*And of coarse BX1(my older plant in the 7g pot) is getting more nutes than the others.

She and BX5 are stretching unbelievably.

So I'm thinking I'll probably be putting my 600 hps into the mix with the cmh's. It's kind of dependant on how temps in the room are once the real cold weather hits. It's been fairly warm lately, highs in the 50s and temps over the canopy are hitting about 83, under the canopy is about 76.
I'd like to keep highs at atleast 80 and it'll be getting below zero this winter outside so that's why I figure the 600 will probably be thrown in(open hood).

That would put the grow at roughly 60 watts per sq ft.
It will be interesting to see how the yield comes out with that amount of light. I think the canopy is almost too crowded too so that extra light will help with that too, I'll be able to spread them all out a few more inches.

Day 8
Loving the addition of the hps. Par numbers are pretty impressive at the canopy, considering I'm using open hooded hid lighting where you can't always get them real close because of heat issues. Temps are going to be dumping off in about a week where im at, meaning I could drop the 630 and 600 even closer to the tops. Perks of growing in winter.
Par meter readings are topping out at roughly 1200 umoles for the stretchy plant between the 630 and 315. And she's loving it too. Averaging around 800 umoles running down the center of the canopy.1512330761168673339504.jpgsoaking up them rays @1200 umoles of ceramic metal halide:cool: 3100k philips315 and 3k 630 with the "red enhancement"15123308356011073535099.jpgone of the random bubblisious crosses below. The pies so far are taking off without the rifts. I was thinking that the package claimed a bigger stretch with the rifts but we'll see. 15123311632451229671358.jpg15123339949911737076739.jpg two alien rifts above. Number 3 and 8. AR8 is one that I accidently broke in half while it was in stride early on. Was almost nothing left of it, I came pretty close to junking her but I'm glad I didn't. She's only growing 2 dominant tops and 2 smaller ones. With all her energy going into that, should make for a couple of completely stacked colas.15123314975781228910666.jpg I'll deffinitely have to be on point with air movement throughout this canapy once they really getting though. As packed as it is, bud rot and mold could be a real threat. So far im working with a 6 inch inline intake on high, traveling through 2 air ducts and an 8inch exhaust with a carbon filter also on high. Two oscillating floor fans, one lower blowing air under the canopy and one blowing air throughout the canopy.

You may have noticed that a couple plants look droopy, that's because I watered heavier the last watering with plain 150ppm water because I'm seeing yellow tips from nutrient burn and I'm wanting to try to prevent any salt build up from the nutes, that's the last thing I'd want around my roots the second half of flower. Going to try to stick to a water, water, feed schedule from here on out but of coarse it all just depends on what they're talking me.

Hope everyone's enjoying the updates, as all the real fun is about to unfold :fire:

Fuuuuck. Breaker just tripped. Looks like I may be going without the a/c, only one more day though. Damn now I gotta wait 30 mins to turn the lights back on :wall:
Atleast there are two separate breakers in this room so I still have some light. Life saver.

Day 10 of flower.
Got the second layer of trellis up. The rifts are staying pretty squat so far.
Little budlets are forming and the stems are getting sticky and smelly to the touch.
Temps have been getting a bit high the past couple days but I think I'm over that now. Warmest spot is down to 86 degrees.
I super cropped one because it was getting too tall and screwing up the even light coverage.

Well this is pretty cool, day 13 of flower and I'm tending to the canopy, boosted a few plants up with a tupperware container and I notice Alien Rift #10 is starting to grow frost already.

It's kind of hard to tell in the pictures, I'm just using my cell cam but it's coming :smile:15127810660501641733655.jpg 1512781236280725337938.jpg 1512781370037875031376.jpg

It's day 15 and almost all the plants have begun growing frost.
Yesterday I started mixing another tea with the following contents:
1) crab shell meal 2-3-0
2) earthworm castings 1-0-0
3) compost tea bags from the local garden store
4) Botanicare organic dry nutes 1-5-4

The Botanicare was the main ingredient. I diluted the mix down to about 1.2 ec or around 600 ppms, it was pretty strong after sitting a day.
The last tea I gave the plants a few weeks ago was their first and the days after that were the days that I've never seen them plants happier.
I'll be watering 12 out of the 18 tonight and have some of the mix jugged up and in the fridge for when the other plants are ready to be watered.
I'm also now mixing Bud Candy and a bloom booster by Growth Science called Rock Solid into each feeding. Right now I'm feeding ever other watering to every 3 waterings. A couple plants have been getting more plain water than the others because they're showing some nute burn. One seems to be back on track and the other just started showing some n tox today but overall I'm real happy with the way they're looking, especially with them already starting to pack on frost.
I will post pictures tomorrow.

Day 16 of flower, here comes the frost.

I'd say pretty decent bud formation too for just past week 2. Im starting to be able to pick up on a very faint smell each evening when I first head to the room.
All the plants have started forming trics now, with two of the bubbilicious crosses furthest behind the others. But still for day 16 I'm very happy.

Pictures don't do this one justice. It looks like a maze of leafs but there's an insane amount of bud sights on this plant.1513033998281651543360.jpg 15130341123201503557345.jpg 15130341871522104910036.jpg

I'm doing some canopy management and was able to untangle an Alien Rift from the trellis because I want to spin it 180 degrees and thought I'd take a moment to snap a pic and show you guys. This was actually one of my runts out of the pack and it's easily doubled in size since flip and is turning out to be a nice pheno. Wicked smells coming off all of these alien rifts. Fuel mixed with chemical, like almost a bug spray type of smell. And extremely sticky already. I'm doing my best to not touch buds while moving around branches and my hands are like sap.

Edit: Spinning a malibu pie around as well so I'll add a pic of that too. Last two pics. 15132916549961512198781.jpg 1513291808343163201098.jpg 1513291979038102356887.jpg 15132921968271341042292.jpg 1513292318448886458788.jpg

So here's the scoop. Lastnight when I managed to untangle a couple plants from the trellis I noticed two things,
1) There's a lot of lower growth that needs taken off.
2) Almost all my plants are showing some heavy deficiencies.
I knew that some plants were having some deficiencies but with the dense canopy, trellis and all the bright light, I never noticed how bad it was. It's not terrible but many plants have lost several leaves.

So lastnight I ended up taking both trellis' out so I can work with each plant, cleaning up the lower stuff and just get an all around good look of them. I'd like to leave the trellis' out but I have one plant that has just gotten way too tall, it has to be tied down one way or another or else I'll have her tops inside my 630w hood that's sitting a good 20 inches from the canopy.

So now for the next couple days I'll post some pics of some of the more impressive plants since ill be able to get at them. I'm at work right now so there won't be any pics with this post but I'll be sure to put some up.

I'll say right now though that alien rift #9 is quickly becoming the star of the whole room. Completely stacked, biggest buds this far and is forming solid white trichomes all over the leaves, much like the old "white widow" pic that everyone's seen that's all over Google.
But anyway, that's the scoop:peace:

Here's a few pics of the bigger plant, bx#1. This plant is so bushy and full of bud sites, even all the way to the bottom. I'm guessing because the fan leaves are only 5 fingered and skinny so there's ample light penetration. I'm worried there may not be enough room deep for all that bud with-in the plant and I may be risking bud rot. But with so many branches all as nice as the next it's hard to go in there defoliating.
What's your guys take? Do you think I'd be risking mold if I left it as is?

Remember it's only my second grow so I'm still learning :D

Daaaayum that botch is bushy as hell id love one like that
Yeah I'm just hoping it don't take forever to finish, it's seeming pretty sativa dominant.

My last grow, out of the same batch of a bunch of f2 seeds of about 4 different strains that this plant came from, I had a plant that looked a lot like this, much younger though, and by 12 weeks flower it had pop can size colas that were just barely starting to dense up and nothing but white hairs still. Who knows how long it would've went. I hope this one isn't like that.
It is going to yield pretty good though. Branches are already flopping, I got no choice but to put the trellis back in.
