Obsoul33t's WiFi X Aliendog Cherry........

5 days into flowering, after a 30 day veg period. Pic is taken thru color correcting sunglasses. 24 plants under 2000 watts. 4 gallon pots, in Pro-mix, lime and perlite. Botanicare nutes. Most of the plants were pinched once, to control height.

I had no intentions on doing any kind of review for this strain but it's turning out so interesting, I thought I'd add some notes for future consideration. It's approx. 6 weeks later now, flowering is in it's 8th week with 2+ to go. Initial quick observations are it's a good yielder, buds more like sativa than indica in appearance, not particularly dense buds like a kush, high resin potential, some variation in the plants, they like a lot of light (more than normal), some variety in flowering times is evident, and 7.5 of 10 on the smell meter, but will go up higher as they finish.

There is one plant towards the front on the corner (gets less light than everyone else) that is smaller and finishing early- maybe another week or so. It looks great. It won't be a decent yielder either, but the buds look encrusted and have a great coloring pallet.

Obsoul33t was responible for the "Alien" stuff originally, he bred it first. His AlienDog Cherry is an "Alien Technology" pheno. He does many hybrids with it and it looks like one to consider doing. It leans to the indica side, but mixed with the WiFi #43, it picks up some sativa. I'll report back for a wrap in 3-4 weeks.

I still can't comment on the smoke, but they sure look like A+ material. Maybe 11-12 more days to 70 total in flowering, then a long 1-2 days of chopping everything.

Stuff looks great too......I didn’t pay $148 each for the 4 packs either- they were either on sale or I had a discount code. I think the final price came out around $118 each if I’m not mistaken. Either way, that’s HALF the room.

Obsoul33t was named in High Times, March 2019, as one of the best breeders alive today. His stuff appears expensive but top notch.

Hey Skid- I'm still wondering how a plant could look so good and carry with it LITTLE TO NO BUZZ.......it's my Ethos "Apex", here's a pic I posted on another site I visit.

And believe it or not, 1 more pheno. I must say I've never been as disappointed with a strain (after everything looked so delicious).

It is unusual to have multiple packs of any strain to have everthing except clout? Getting so many new strains to market so quickly Ethos's QC must have been They could do with a grower like you now they're threads are wilting on the vine on every forum.

I search for Obsoul33t and found a lot of posts on the farm from about 2014 I see he's right there with Rado Cornbread R. And thm lot. Where did you find the best strain information? What made you pick wifi x Ad cherry out of all his line up?

Thanks Kroc......just didn't have the time this crop to really journal it but I'll have a new one starting in 2 weeks with Ethos straight "Cookies" strain, Cookies #1 X Cookies #16.

Skid- I couldn't find another grow of Obsoul33t's Wifi X AlienDog Cherry anywhere but I did see a thorough review on his straight AlienDog Cherry and I figured how bad could it be mixed with White Fire? I took a chance on his reputation alone, one of the few breeders I trust enough to take an expensive chance.

Snipped a piece today as a test......currently in the food dehydrator for a few hours to make it smoke-able. Under a scope, the trichomes looked 100% cloudy but not very dark, purple or amber. For these last 9-10 days, I'm going to cut the "on" light back to 10 hours and reduce water intake a bit. This will lower room humidity reducing any chance of mold AND it will help with resin production too. I'm also leaving the room fan and exhaust fan on 24/7 til the end.

I'll report back tonight with a pic of the bud and an early smoke report.

I'll also share a story about Obsoul33t, something that happened many years ago. It's why I never grew anything of his for many years. He was doing some breeding with Nevil's Northern Lights, it was probably 25+ years ago. I ordered one of his strains from one of the Euro seed auctions places, Seedbay or Mark Emory or another of those seedbanks way back when. They came in, I planted them expecting a normal N.L.- short, stocky, etc. Instead what grew were incredible monsters, and I chopped them when they all hit 7 feet tall (and still growing). I complained like there was no tomorrow, I knew what I got was absolutely NOT the N.L. I was expecting and had been growing for years. They denied it of course, and said if there was a mistake, it was by Obsoul33t. Five weeks totally wasted, they were so BIG, so stretchy, with thin long branches- I knew it was a haze or skunk of some type. To this day, I still haven't grown anything like it.

Weeks and months later, other reports started to show up- same complaint, same exact experience as mine. Eventually it came out they ran out of the N.L. and were substituting a N.L. X Haze instead. They did offer to replace them with something else IF I SENT THEM BACK- I told them to fuck off as it was 3 months later and all had been grown until they were destroyed.

Now, I guess I could have tried to bend and train them, but things had gotten so out of control, it would have been 2-3 months of hell getting them to the finish line. I owned a different house back then, and although the grow room was larger, the ceiling was shorter. No thanks.

Obsoul33t has now been inducted into the Grower's "Hall of Fame", it's hard to find a single complaint about his stuff and I forgave him a few years ago. LOL

Well, it was dry enough around 4pm.....the flavor and smell are completely gone from the quick dry but it retained some moisture so time for a bowl. I loaded the bong and did a single hit. Here's my comments about 45 minutes later..........

It's supposed to be a mostly indica, but I'm finding a good bit of sativa in it............initially it hit me in the head and eyes, and not too much longer after that I started feeling sleepy and was yawning a bit. For something not fully done, it packed a nice wallop so potency is definitely there. I think it still needs a bit more time, basically 10 days (chopping in 2 Friday's from today) should be enough to get it done.

So, I had a nice 1.5 hour ride from a single hit on the bong and am still feeling it quite a bit even now. A joint would have probably finished my day right then and there. Nicely potent, I see great things coming with this strain after a nice dry and cure period. This appears to be really good pot.

I grew 2 of their Aliendog cherry X chem91. I didn't have good results at all. Buds were huge and covered but literally 0 smell on 2 plants. Seedsherenow messed up when I bought them. They listed it as 12 seeds but sent me 6. Then they sent me another pack for the mess up. I have no desire to grow it considering 2 plants had no smell and I mean none at all.

I'm looking for yield and quality..........how was the overall potency???

Regarding the smell- I've had numerous people tell me they can smell the plants walking up my driveway, so smell won't be an issue with these- it stinks.
