If you are claiming that the birther movement is actual healthy skepticism being demonized, I would argue that it is frivolous and demonstrably a waste of mental energy.
Reality check, if you would like to debate me raise a legitimate point! Don't just skirt the issue that your raising then call me a wagon jumper, I am very familiar with the issues at hand and intelligent enough to bring the truth to bear with out citing unrelated articles and opinions of others. So in response to your claim of proper questioning of the government, Obama's birthplace (his mom is American which is birthright naturalization too btw), is not a question about the government except that your inferring by stating such that the federal government would less scrutinize a presidential candidate than a drivers license or bank account applicant? Most reasonable people wouldn't assume conspiracy because he didn't post it on his campaign signs. Now the grades issue, how funny is that anyhow? If you ask me W's history was far more suspect as his problem records even had "dirty fingerprints" that no one dared question out of respect for the reputations of those involved. I personally don't need to see his transcripts to evaluate his intellectual merit, when I was in college I saw plenty of people that pulled off straight As that were no more intelligent than W and no more capable of forming an intelligent argument than those supposedly posing one here. Even funnier, those that could regurgitate their reading for tests to ace their classes were no more capable of applying the knowledge they were supposedly learning than the ones with Cs after the class was over. I don't put much credence on transcripts for exactly that reason, I have been in management for 15+ years and do hiring and firing so I have spent time contemplating this issue which is obviously where I derived my outlook on the topic!

That said, it was stated that president Obama has misfired on many campaign promises which is entirely true. As well he has continued and in some cases extended some very unpopular Bush administration policies which is also in my opinion a fallible quality. I do understand however that these situations have a lot more "gray area" than we can be aware of but it seems suspect to me that for the last 30+ years we have had predominately republican majority in government and these "free market" and "bible thumping" ideals have been ramrodded and not contested while both sides have shown unprecedented withholding to corporate lobby. When policy always shifts away from the benefit of the masses despite party influence it is pretty obvious that some sort of shell game is going on. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who the players are and who has the most to loose/gain. It is so obvious that even the simpletons are sure something is afoot, even if their very limited knowledge and understanding prevents them from seeing the forest for the trees.

My opinion is that there could be a two piece solution that would solve it all, in time:
1. Term and benefit limits, 2 for senate and 3 for congress with benefits terminating post office just like any other job.
2. Abolish direct lobby, all lobby campaigning must be done and aimed at or including the public with support and contribution disclosure by law like a surgeon generals warning.

Indirect delegation was for times of limited communication ability, the electoral college is also no longer necessary.

Someone let me know when the Bamster complains about the intelligence apparatus he 'inherited' from Bush.

LOL?
He inherited alot from Bush...all of them problems...The amazing part is how he is finding solutions to the problems he inherited...Bush had 8 years to find Osama .....Obama took 2 1/2 to do it...even with all the other Bull he had to distract him..yup Obama is now "The Solution"...Real sad Johnny with you being ex-military and an American that you can't take a day from your hatred of your POTUS to at least say good job for finding Osama or even take the advice of "if you have nothing good to say...then say nothing at all"...Guess it shows that you really hate just to hate...

let's see how that assertion pans out over the course of your post...

funny, you sing a different tune when arguing anything besides the eligibility of the POTUS to attend a college.

you did call him a sideshow. doesn't change the fact that you and the sideshow are striding merrily along, hand in hand, questioning how exactly the POTUS got into columbia or harvard, and how well he did there.

i would say your 'constitutionalist' bullshit has been disproven by now.

bullshit.

i join you in none of the bullshit in which you are engaging.

it is a losing battle, you know.

i have no idea how that article disproves the vast quantities of sand lodged deep beneath your labia.
Wait just a cotton-pickin' minute, Buck.

When did I assert that disclosing educational records was a Constitutional requirement to be Commander-in-Chief?

Because I do not recall doing so. If you think otherwise, you are nuttier than Beef Jerky is stupid. And that's pretty fucking nutty. Nuttier than a chipmunk turd.

Full disclosure from candidates for office is expected in today's political climate. Expected. And a refusal to do so suggests one is hiding something.

i never claimed that you think it is a constitutional requirement.

but it doesn't take a genius to see the subtle game you are playing, especially when you can't take a dump or rub one out without citing the constitution.

what you want is more rope to hang the guy by. or, as others demanding the school records might say, 'lynch' him.

what will it be after he releases that? what will you choose to find dissatisfaction with after that? are you going to demand to see a live feed of him 24/7 so you can make sure he is fucking his wife correctly?

just pathetic.

I see were you are going, great post all around here, A legitimate question I would say is the question about the Layers for starters, but ya know like you and I both agree on the whole thing is just a distraction anyway and I really don't want to waste any more of my breathe on it but I just feel like it is a way to demonize investigative journalist and conspiracy theorist and also a distraction, I mean they even put pictures of flying saucers next to it on the white house website and the msnbc goons are making a mockery of it also. They are going to get nowhere on this and it really is just a waste of breathe at this point for everyone.

LOL.... how many blacks were there? the video looks like a ton of white folk with a few black people attending... They also stated they were there with democrats, republicans and tea baggers. Ask your average black person what they think :)
I wonder how many times he was called "boy" at that rally.

Why indeed? What other president has had to release two forms of a birth certificate to quiet the critics? Why now are his grades and eligibility for an Ivy league education being questioned? Healthy skepticism? that's laughable. Now people like yourself call the long form a forgery.... lol.... 911 "truthers"? What a fucking joke...

Suggested possible subtle racism, everyone and anything can be guilty of this and the racist one is sometimes the accuser, including your own questioning if the Tea Party includes black people is guilty of possible subtle racism. You can have my seat on the race card bandwagon as I won't be joining the racist on that train. Why must healthy skepticism be demonized? Why must questioning our government be demonized? What good does it do us to poke fun of the 'conspiracy theorist' who risk their reputation to become free thinkers and investigative journalist? What good is it if we never ask questions of those in power? Why can't we have transparency of government that obama promised, what ever happened to that? It seems to me this birther thing is a deliberate attempt to demonize conspiracy theorist and investigative journalist and also to distract these types of people on to this issue which will amount to nothing but a waste of time and serve only as a distraction. This would further explain why the birth certificate appears to be an obvious forgery(even thou perhaps it is not) as its to keep them distracted and talking about this while they are covering up something else.

to the mainstream media characters: Keep demonizing the birthers, the 9/11 truthers, Ron Paul, and whoever else you disagree with, cause each time you do your name gets put on the sellout list in my book.

Where is full disclosure on George Bush's birth certificate? What about his missing service records from his AWOL stint? Why weren't those things given more careful consideration? I have an idea, cause he was white and from Texas...

A refusal to do anything means it is none of your business..... he didn't campaign on his educational record. And even if he did release those transcripts, people like yourself would still call bull shit and call them fake, so why even bother?

and btw, both universities have already confirmed he attended and he is in the year books and college papers.....

Wait just a cotton-pickin' minute, Buck.

you're being a small person right now, johnny.

President George W. Bush on March 13th said:
I truly am not that concerned about him
that intelligence apparatus? the one that was truly not concerned with capturing bin laden?

snark!

And the funny thing is, in the first 90 days of office, Obama directed Leon Panetta to describe in detail, in writing, what he was doing to actively track and kill or capture Bin Laden. We all know Bush didn't care about bin forgotten, he was more focused on ending his father's war....

Man, this thread has pulled out some stops and shown just how diverse we all, as Americans, can be.....I applaud those with subjective views a well as those who seem to be able to relate from a few steps back....Objectivity is a goal we should all strive for and I am proud to be more objective after reading through this thread. Kudos to ALL who participated....

The Bush record on bin Laden, of course, starts with him failing to prevent the attacks in the first place. As has been exhaustively documented by now, during the summer of 2001, his White House waved off repeated warnings of an imminent attack from former counterterrorism director Richard A. Clarke and then-CIA director George Tenet.

Bush and his national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, were said to be more focused on their pet issue, missile defense, and the hunt for a reason to attack Iraq. Bush, according to
Bob Woodward, said he wasn't interested in "swatting flies."

The unsuccessful attempts to engage Bush culminated in a briefing he got while vacationing on his Texas ranch. As investigative reporter Ron Suskind reported in his book, "
The One Percent Doctrine," an unnamed CIA operative flew to Crawford to call the president's attention personally to the now-famous Aug. 6, 2001, memo titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S."

"All right," Suskind reported Bush saying after hearing out the operative. "You've covered your ass, now."

Osama is not responsible for 911.
i'd like to believe you, but none of the 9/11 conspiracists have put together a decent enough argument (replete with evidence) that can prove anything.

it is not simply enough to disprove the official version, which has been done.

you also need to posit what actually did happen and back it with evidence.
