Oh and you do the stakes the same way I do :weed:

It works.
yeah, my Jewel is kind of a "flopper"......just went out and bought me a pile of bamboo. the wappa, and the goddess is pretty stout stemmed though. i much prefer not having to stake. but they are all ready to finish out, and it looks like my best grow to this point, hopefully yield will confirm it!

Nothing wrong with having to assist your plant to hold the buds up :-P
right, i just think genetically, if a plant has sturdy stems, it is even more capable of producing larger flowers. i guess i am just a big fan of a plant that can hold its own weight, kind of reminds me of genetically modified chicken whose breasts and thighs are so big, they just lie there in the dirt, unable to move, not as cool as a perfectly strong, organic, true breeding, free range meat bird! Peace, Nugs

Any seeds you get from a breeder are genetically modified with selective breeding. Unless of course you only grow the naturally evolving (without human intervention) strains, but something must be said for hybrid vigor. Natural seeds are hard to come by unless you have a lot of freedom to travel and collect them yourself. And that's exactly what breeders do in order to provide something allegedly better than nature.

I'm not trying to question your methods, but that's what the chicken analogy made me think of.

Anyway, I will make sure to keep following along. Keep it up :weed:

yeah, i hear ya....i am just a fan of stout plants i guess, and when i select, stalk/stem strength is a big factor for me....esp. for outdoor. it sucks hard when a plant blows up three weeks before harvest from a stiff wind! i also like plants that have stems that fold over nice without breaking for supercropping. some strains are just so much more brittle than others.

I know what you're talking about...I have seen some outdoor White Widow that lost a few branches in a light rain late in the season. What a waste.
