Went outside to water the plants and found, to my horror, that my entire garden, and especially my special girls, are COVERED in these newly hatched spiders. On the one hand, it's utterly horrifying. On the other hand, I'm guessing this will really keep the fungus gnat population down. .For those who are curious, the species of spider is Argiope aurantia, yellow garden spiders. They aren't the worst or biggest, but they're definitely not small. I would never go into my garden again if every one of these survived into adulthood (They look like this when fully grown)
