seemly some want to debate just to argue..Screw facts and proof
You are both right, but the only person who is wrong is London.

London assumed that owning stocks and owning options were the same thing, why else would he change the font color of Reds statement that Cheney sold all of his stock before becoming VP and then challenged that statement by trying to make a bet that Cheney did own stocks, in the form of options.

But options aren't stocks, but it took a further 10 pages of 3 people telling him that for him to finally concede that options are indeed NOT stocks.

Cheney is a Piece of Shit, I doubt anyone would disagree.

So you can both stick around, but London you presumed something wrongly.

BTW you can indeed sell OPTIONS on the open market, but normally cannot sell your corporate options. They aren't the same thing, although for most purposes they act the same, except one is a derivative play and the other is a incentive to employees to do a good job to help make the price of the stock rise.

it is still a narrow distinction without a real difference.

owning stock options may TECHNICALLY not be owning the stocks, but the result is the same.

it still creates the appearance of impropriety, and still provides the incewntive to increase the company's stock price through undue influence, so you can cash in, just with stock options, you have to cash in AND cash out.

Whoa! Whoa! Slow down. No offense was meant!

I was 'had' then. I presumed that with McCain going around saying that we need to invade (or return to) Iraq he actually meant it. Politics. A tangled mess.
He and no one has said that

You've been had by not listening to but one side

Your pal Red was wrong on Cheney not making money and wrong on selling ALL his stocks. With Cheney still having Stock options he still had the ability to buy stocks.
The questions were did Cheney make money off the war and did he sell ALL his stock. Unless he got rid of those options he still had the ability to buy stock. Now did he??? YES... he then turned around and sold the stocks and donated the money to charity still receiving about two million back. If he had sold all his stock, what monies was it he donated to charity ?

No options are not stock (yet), but it does give you the ability to buy/sell stock. Cheney bought stock in Halliburton after he was VP and turned around and sold them. RED was wrong about Cheney not making money off the war and he was wrong about Cheney selling ALL his stocks. He would have had to exercised his option and sold BEFORE he took VP for this to be true. You saying different means nothing. It just shows me that you really play the BULLSHIT game. Too bad that part of you chooses to always hang around.

People like yourself allow people like Cheney to get away with this type of bullshit because of your bullshit. I can't blame Red for being stupid, but you should know better.

the question was not about owning stocks, it was whether he SOLD them ALL before entering office.

he didn;t make $6.9 million in 2005 by not selling stocks. he SOLD stocks AFTER entering office.

and congrats to the racist idiot above me for spamming yet another unrelated picture since his diminutive intellect is too weak to actually stay on the topic at hand.

no......the question is, whether people in our government get rich and powerful from global war. y'all can declare the question to be something else, an' look at the Great Wall of China, through an electron microscope and quibble over the results. back up, and show me the big difference, in action, of the Red Chariot Team, and the Blue Chariot Team. no one can.

The side where McCain goes on television and says that we need to invade Iraq again? What did I miss? He supports that, I am against it. He is mad.
My gosh, pay attention,

Obama is sending troops, uniformed advisory/trainers. The number is above 500 already. This is on top of the 10,000 or so Private Executive Branch Army "contractors."

He is buzzing the towns with F-15s trolling for those MANPADS we lost, recently.

One punch-out of a flyer, and then captured, we are in Obama shit. Remember Bosnia?

And you blame McCain, The Great and Powerful OZ!? Please. oy vey

Pay attention to man behind the oval curtain. We are already back in Iraq, having never really left.

Wait until you see what lame duck President newboos, running scared, can do with War to get Legacy.

Viet Nam anyone? Nixon got us OUT. The DEMS are not Peaceful. And I have fought them pigs on the street, during Nam, and shed my blood.

It is already happening. McCain is just going to say I told you so. It is already happening but they won't let Obama take credit, since he is eating crow.

I blame McCain because I dislike him and he has been urging us to return full fucking bore into Iraq, I dislike that doer. I am allowed my opinion, you may disagree.

Oh, president Obama is a piece of work! I am just complaining about McCain! I dislike Obama for a host of other reasons entirely!

I get to dislike politicians because of their actions Doer. Please realize that I am allowed to form opinions base not just on on recent but also when he was urging us at the beginning to go to war INITALLY! He is a warmonger in my opinion, you may disagree sir.

Don't get mixed up with the green monkey? I'm quite sure I was not addressing the concept toward you. So, if I made a mistaken juxtaposition vis a vis, your intention space....

Me so Sorry. Beg pardon?
Thank you, I was very very kornfused when that was the reply.

I am lacking enough 'purity' to get anywhere in a white supremacist hierarchy.

If you listen very closely, the art of Politics is to only appear to say things. And when you tivo back, as I often do. (wtf??) I see they didn't really say that. It is some of what I bring here at times for the very deserving. :)

Hey, be like a true American. Hate it all, and understand, no one is interested in Peace.

It's bad for business.

Hey listen, man. Don't let me slow you down. Did I ever try to deny you your opinions?

How would that work anyway unless we were married. :)
