Noobie grower

Also is that aluminum foil you have got up over there cause if it is I would take it down cause it is not helping. It cause hot spots which can burn the plants and it reflects light all over the place which can draw it away from the plant if nothing else use the reverse white side of wrapping paper if you are on a budget it 100% better than foil

just a thought, try switching to dwc buckets, ez to build and much easier than soil w faster growth..2 big plants wont really produce more than 6 smaller plants, the 600 watt hps only penetrates about 3 feet so plants taller than that will have small buds on bottom..id stick 9 buckets under that 600, all u need is 5 gallon buckets w/ lids and a good air pump and air stones and general hydroponics maxi grow/bloom..

Thanks for the advice lowered light to about 1-2 inches (Is this to close?) don't wanna burn them and got small desk fan on them aswell
2 inches lowered should be near perfect height for your plants now. It's just one of them things you got to experiment with to find the perfect height for your light! Does your desk fan have a fair bit of Power? It's not a really weak fan is it? Because you want them seedlings swaying back and forth from the wind, to strengthen them. Of course not to strong where their almost getting pulled out of the ground or about to snap.:peace::bigjoint:

They look good so far. As said, keep those lights as close as you can, just not close enough to burn them!

Stay with one type of medium, don't switch up until you have an understanding of how your plants grow.

the aluminum foil creating hot spots is a myth. Your light bulbs are the hottest spot in the grow always. If foil created hot spots my plant's would be burnt from top to bottom since the entire room including floor is foil covered rigid insulation and I run cool tubes without reflectors. However a flat white paint with titanium pigment added is the best.

How large you veg will tell you if you are using both 600's or not. I run two 600's with 5-10 plant's under them ranging from 28 inches to 55 inches tall. I don't like to crowd the grow so I spread them out as much as I can. I also run a perpetual garden and need to be able to get in there and move stuff around.

Are you prepared for odor control????
Are you prepared for temperature control????

Why are you regretting soil?

If you have something deep enough to re pot them so the leafs are just above the soil you will fix the leaning issue and give it more area for roots to grow from the buried stem.

Bcos my friend where the plants are going to veg and flower is wanted everything done yesterday but I keep telling him it will take time but from what I have read DWC is a lot lot faster than soil. Just had to repot the little lady's bcos 1 of them had ended up on its side no break in the stem just leant right over n I mean right over

I gotcha!! I started out in soil then went to DWC then to a flooded tube. It turned out to be more work than I wanted to deal with. The biggest issue I had with growing in water was power outages. Pumps don't pump without electricity which turns into root problems. At that time I lived where the power went out often.

Knowing that you are growing at someone else's spot tells me that the issue above would be the least of your problems. I'm not saying you don't get along with your buddy but shit happens!!! Secrets get told and passed around!!! Another issue would be that your buddy tends to the plants then you tend to them so they get too much love and suffer.

I do not claim to be a great grower since I only pull a pound per month (perpetual) but it keeps me buried in buds and hash!! Lol, I am still smoking out of a February 2014 jar!! :bigjoint:
I am subbed up to this thread so I will be watching to see how things go. I'm always up to learn something new... :peace:
