I have used no pest strips, neem oil, suca-sweet (or somethin like that that the grow store said to use) as well as AZATROL which was supposed to be the "Kill All." ive taken all the plants out and individually sprayed them, with a wetting agent, and while the mites have not gotten out of control, but they are still there. could they be on the walls of my grow tent or what? ive sprayed them twice a week for a few weeks now and when i look i can still see some live mites on leaves where there is damage. i know they lay eggs, do the sprays not kill the eggs? I have had problems with them in veg and flowering, but once the girls are too deep into flowering theres not much i can do so i need to fix this problem before it becomes an epidemic. WHAT THE HELL CAN I DO?

i would spray with neem oil mixed with liquid soap and warm water everyday for two weeks, keep spaying as they lay eggs and can hatch after the spay has worn off, make sure to spay the under leaves well too

hey iv had a spider mite problem before yoo have to use neem oil... you also have to spray the underside of the leaves becasue thats where they exist and bite the leave showing the dead spot on top. the other thing i did was take a light duty dust buster and vacum the underside of the leaves u can suck them right off the plant.

How long did you give the no-pest strips to work?
I have used Hot Shot no pest strips on an indoor vegetable garden with 100% success every time. Did you shut down your ventilation to allow the
strips to work? If not you may not be getting a concentrated enough dose - just a thought.

you should set off a pyrithum(sp) bomb, they lay eggs and hide in any dirt, bamboo poles, plastic water trays. sterilize everything and stay on top of it. also read this thread

can i do this during flowering? P.S. i am not a beginner grower, i have been well aware of mites and how to kill them for years. i know all of the basic things like soap, neem, spraying under the leaves with a sticking agent, etc etc. its just nothing seems to work. believe me folks ive tried it all. i have not sprayed daily though, which i am thinking may be the problem. i am thinking that the sprays don't kill the eggs. but i am open to try any solution at this point....

If you are in flower the lady bugs will die or move to more hospitable locales, if you are in flower yu could use predatory mites, but since you have so many chems in your plant and in the mites anything that is hanging out in the garden are gonna die too,

My recipe: Mitacid, Azamax, Neem and Ivory soap, 2x's per week (every 4 days) for 2 weeks.

i want to save you alot of heart ache. serious mite problems will cripple you over and over. you cany treat budding plants more than 21 days in,

I use a product called Flormite SC it is a mitecide that will kill these guys. you will likely never totally rid yourself but if you need to control spider and red mite this is the key.
it is effective for about 35 days after application

Blunted1588,

I just shut my fans down at lights out, and restart when the lights come on.
I got 100% control with mine in just a few days - no problems since.

Good luck.

I had a spider mite issue that neem, insecticidal soaps, and spraying water couldnt get rid of. I put up two no pest strips and sprayed my plants with malathion and bam they were gone in a few days. Malathion is pretty bad shit so if your into flower I wouldnt spray my plants with it, if you do spray them make sure you wash them off a couple times with clean water before you harves, I only use malathion when my plants are in veg, but if you want to get rid of mites this shit wipes them out. I found a bottle of malathion at walmart for $7 and it makes like 50 gallons.

*Disclaimer* All statements made above are purely fictional and hypethicaly what I may do if I were in that situation

Hey Blunte1588 your plants are very resilient weed is well... it's a weed truthfully.
dont be afraid to give them heck!
i use 2 full garlic bulbs 10gal of water and a full cup of dish soap do the regular procedure except on a large scale cover the soil below your plants something that will keep the water from getting into it.
and have at them, either way your plants are going to be slowed by any tampering so why not get the most bang for your buck.
Using a heavy mister start from the bottom and mist upwards into the plant soaking it, then repeat from the top down soaking all the tops of the leaves for a plant thats 5ft tall and 4ft wide i would use the full 10 gal per plant drown the bitches!.
even though the eggs wont die form the garlic soap mix if you put enough water on them they will absorbe the water and drown before they are born.
usually 1 repeat a week later and if you have any mites left i will personally refund all your costs.
