If there weren't pictures, I wouldn't believe there used to be another plant right next to it.

Yeah I flexed her outward instead of upward and just surrounded her w/ lights. Probably a good thing the other one hermied or I would've been doing some aggressive trimming to keep space, especially cause the hermie was twice the size of this one. Everything happens for a reason! =) Thanks for droppin' in!

Says 8 weeks but judging by her characteristics she has more sativa traits so I'm just going to let her decide when she's ready but I'm shooting for a early-mid Jan harvest with the rate she's going.

Soil girl will prob be end of Jan.

icant really speak for the hydro, but my soil girl has about as many trichs as yours... maybe you justdo better in hydro... i dunno... i am planning on harvesting the 14th of jan... that will be a full 8 weeks in flower from time pistils popped... which happened first day of 12/12 in my case... that 24 hour dark period shocked the shit out of her.... but in a good way... force flowered...

Yeah man I should've done the extended dark period myself they took 10-12 days to show pistils on 12/12 for me. Next round I'm def going to do it though.

Are you just talking about when you start flowering, you give them dark for 24 hours first?

I've heard 36 hr is what some use and get great results. Be easy to just skip one light cycle and see for my next round so I'm going to try it. There will be other variables (strain/nutes) so it won't be measurable or anything but for my own personal reference I want to try it out.

I've also heard a extended dark period just before harvest increases resin production as well so I plan on trying that just before harvest as well. So many fun things to try in this hobby. :)

for sure.. thats what keeps me intrested in it... what works for one, may be an epic fail for another... every grower will determine what works best for them... with enough practrice and studying that is...;)

I'm curious, do you have any idea how much water you are giving your soil girl? I think I probably underwater, its definitely always dry in that first 1-2 inches down. And every time I water, they perk up like its nobodies business. So it makes me wonder if I'm watering at just the right time, or if I should be watering every day. I would say now I water approx. every 3 days. I would say I'm probably giving each 2 gallon pot I have .7 liters of water every 3 days or so.

What is your regimen on your soil girl?

Wish I had a regimen honestly LoL... I just go by how heavy her container is. Once she feels kinda light to me I hit her with a good watering. Depends on container size etc... but works well for me so far =)

So if you had to guess would you say you let the soil dry out, or is it usually pretty moist?
