I remember DJ Short talking about male plants turning female and he see's them as great breeding males as in his experience they seemed to produce more female offspring than males. Males turning female is not a common thing for cannabis, its usually the other way round. I'll see if i can track down the article..
Have you found it thats awesome mate :) I was reading that some people back in the 80's grew some male to female hermies and they all came out female but about 50% of them were female herm and 50% were straight female. I might just have to just grow a few out and see.

Man ive been looking everywhere for it, ive asked over at ICMag to see if DJ can repost it. Will keep you posted mate!

Definitely grow some out mate, could be some real gems in there. Even try a couple in a different room and try different stress mechanisms to try and induce the herms. If they dont herm, they can be used as stable parents ;)

So a sativa female I had last year and I have the seeds now put away is worth trying again ?
Depends if it was a reverse hermaphrodite (male that turned female during flower). If it was and it seeded up the same plant (or another in the same room) it is likely a good breeding candidate depending on what other traits you are looking for. All this means is that there is likely to be a higher ratio of females to males in the offspring. It doesnt mean it contains super powers or anything *pew pew* :-D
I always say, its better to try and fail than not to try at all...

I will store them away anyway for a try one day it was definitely a female turned hermie but I still wonder wether I stressed it somehow to make it do that it was outdoors

Ah ok, yeah if it was me i wouldnt bother if it was female turned male. Not worth the potential of seeding a whole crop. Unless it is the only plant in your patch and it doesnt matter :)

This was a thread i found at thcfarmer that explains what i meant. I'll see if i can find the reference too.
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/true-bb-hermi-male.28834/

And here's DJ's reply to a similar question in which he says that if you get a male turn female and it produces viable seeds, there is a high incidence of females in the future generations :)
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=87460

Hope this helps somewhat with your future project bro :-D
Thanks man thatl be really helpful  Im gonna have a good read through them now!

Hahah stoner possums! Have you ever had bud eaten by them? Malawi x PCK sounds nice. Might have to try that one day. Mad bro sounds like the Malawi is killer bud are you on a tolerance break now? Cheers yeah I think itl do for starting of a few plants ae. I have loads of seeds from my plant so I might experiment with them in preparation for next season and just germinate them and get the hang of the light and them just get rid of them.

Yea its been freezing ae what temps are you getting? Weve been getting -1 -2 overnight but with no frosts. The scatter Idea does sound pretty decent like with your Malawi, then if something happens to two plants youve still got more. I was thinking that it would be to difficult training plants with guerilla, Im not willing to loose plants. Ill figure something out tohugh.

Sweet I think Ill have to give the black magic a go. Hopefully the Panama can make it through till April, im sure they will. 4 - 5 oz from the Panama? I only ended up with a bit under 2 oz from my plant. I trimmed the shit out of it because their was so much leaf. Personally I reckon it should have gone longer but it was a hermie and starting to get to wet. I got alot of seeds to Il attach a pic. Yea algood keen to see the CC. Your Malawi bud pics look killer, jealous as thatd have me and a few mates tripping balls!

Despite my efforts cuting all the balls of this thing it still seeded to well. It got pretty keen to reproduce! Theirs also a few extra cured pud pics and Ill have a smoke report soon.

Yeah and Wallabies apparently, na not bud but veg plants; dad's had massive fully flowered afghanis eaten by goats lol.
If Cannabis were legal I'd grow almost all of Ace's strains. Sounds good about experimenting with some seeds, get the feel of the growth.

Still real warm up here at the moment with 15-19 highs with lows not going below 7 although it got down 1 last week.
Yeah singles or doubles are the way to go when you're not growing on private land, easy lb per plant if planted on november.
You can tie the plants back to the netting letting the middle leaders take the full sun and then untie them once trained.

Algood I use black magic and those 16 pack of peat pots from mitre 10 to start seeds off. Yeah Panama will make it easily, all they need is good soil and they'll last till the end of April down there if it's not raining for the whole month lol but you get less rain so you'll be sweet as.
Yeah 4-5 oz considering late planted/vine hoppers/worst april ever, they'll yield crazily in good conditions. yea the CC is good but diverse get the sweet musky pheno and you're laughing; really nice weed. Cheers it's algood considering the season, It'd be real potent in a glasshouse.

My green Panama is my favourite by far, potent piney fresh weed. With 2 months cure it turned out good and gets you blazed as.
Can't wait for next season with Panama! I'll chuck some CC pics up tomorrow.
