Hey everyone, this thread is for all kiwi brothers to post pics and info on their outdoor plants. Lets show the world how we do it!

This year I am growing 3 landraces and 1 hybrid:
Panama,Malawi,Taskenti(uzbeki landrace) and a Cotton Candy which is the hybrid of lavender and power plant. landrace genetics are from Ace seeds and Cannabiogen and the CC is from Delicious seeds

DSC00689 malawi pheno 1.jpgMalawi mother, pheno 1(This one better be a female!) such a good pheno so far
DSC00688 malawi pheno 2.jpgMalawi mother, pheno 2. Both Malawis are only 3 weeks from breaking soil!.
Taskenti.jpgTaskenti fem mother which is a landrace indica from the Tashkent area in Uzbekistan
DSC00687 clones.jpgCotton Candy cutting for indoor but I'll spare a few for outdoor.
DSC00686 panama.jpg3 Panama regulars that will go straight into the ground as those pots are biodegradable and they have no transplant stress!.

Typical outdoor scenery in the north island for those who do not live here. Pic taken in taupo yesterday on a helicopter hunting trip.

Also post harvest dates from your previous years if possible.

Chur boys, lets make this the best NZ thread for a resource.

Bay of plenty kicks ass for outdoor growing bro. I am probably going to put the cotton candy ones out this weekend, still have to take cuttings from the malawi and taskenti.

DSC00782 stag.jpgThese kind of heads are down in napier/hastings ways in the ruahines. I don't go fishing though haha.

A typical common bushtail posuum. They are a real problem over here mate, they're wrecking the native forest and they attack marijuana plants with no remorse. Thanks man.

Going to take cuttings off this one today or tomorrow.
Another week to take cuttongs from this one.
Landrace indicas grow slowly...

Malawi and Panama are the strains I'm most looking forward to.

CK, I'm really looking forward to watching how your Malawi goes. I can't wait to start mine. But I need to wait. Gotta get my indoor grows better since I'm new to this indoor thing. I have my outdoor spots ready to go in the spring but the Malawi is going to need too much time if I try it outside.

Looking good mate!

Thanks mate, you don't need to wait man. So far it has been so easy to grow with no problems and I only use basic methods for indoor and always seem to get good results. Go for it man!, you live in BC - growing's in your blood ;-)

You can easily force flower if they aren't guerilla.

I've taken 10 cuttings of the big plant.

I reckon a Pakistani chitral kush would go good in your climate or X18 from tom hill, both Landrace Pakistan indicas.

Hey everyone! My first post on roll it up. I am part of the Trip Me NZ forums but there seems to be a better community here on weed haha Anyway this is my seedling, first ever grow from seed and so far so good! Plan on putting it out doors eventually. Wouldn't have a clue what strain it is got a whole bunch of seeds from a mate who had them sitting in his wardrobe. Anyway this is it day 11 after it first came through the soil after the seed was germinated then put in the soil :)

- Cheers

hey man, me too - not enough people reply or take interest on that site. I reckon she'll be good to go at the end of the month, this season has been crazy bro, 14-15 degree lows and 25+ highs and I think we will break records with temps this year. Make sure you use rain crystals because of the drought. north or south island bro?.

cheers mate. good luck.

Hey CK, think your right about the site! Yeah seems to have been good so far, thinking shes gonna be a great summer that will hopefully produce some good heads. How long should i let it become before planting it outside?
And im in the North Island mate, Masterton/wairarapa region! How about yourself?

- Cheers

CK,
i was looking at that Chitral Kush. Beautiful!! Very tempting. I have too many seeds already though. Maybe next year after I have grown out some of my collection, including the Malawi and the Golden Tiger. I gotta do some nice Sativas before I do any more Kush, even one as delicious as that one. Makes me drool just thinking about it.

Damn man! You are a bad influence! I'm thinking about that Chitral again!

Hey mate, depends on how strong the stems are to handle the outside and I'm guessing it's windy as down your ways?, beginning of december will give you a nice 2 months outdoor veg.
Will you be able to visit your plant much when it goes outside? get some chicken wire and it'll be sweet as, nothing worse than getting your plants eaten.
I'm in Tauranga bro, bit of a longer season up these ways, further north has lots of rain and south of here is colder. perfect place to grow with 2400 sun hours a year. just google your city and go onto the wikipedia page for your climate. Cheers, keep us updated and oh whats your plant lighting situation at the moment? wouldn't hurt to put it outside your house for a couple hours a day to boost and strengthen them. cheers.

Order a single fem seed from herbies! user28167_pic82160_1243618951.jpg25r2k5f.jpgpurple paki.jpguser28167_pic553140_1291815074.jpg Can you really resist this strain? :bigjoint:. I know of a 100% landrace sativa strain(African) that will thrive in a short season like yours!, Ciskei from tropical seeds is the fastest flowering landrace on the planet(55-65 days!!) and is massive yielding too. Someone is sending me some for free :eyesmoke:.

One day I want to make an African haze strain with 4 different landrace africans and the same with the Mediterranean strains like pck, ptk, afgan, uzbeki and the Morroccans. There's so much more to marijuana than just growing it lol. Canada has a lot of good kush aye? someone told me your pounds are ridiculously cheap for even the highest grade.

Honestly start your malawis man, 14 weeks max for a malawi is a dream come true and it has the most vigour I've seen in a Mj plant.

Dude!!! You are killing me!
Even those balls are sexy!

A 65 day landrace sounds perfect. I'll have to look into that one. Thanks for that.

I dont know know about cheap. But there is some really good stuff available. If you happen to know any of the older growers that have been doing it small scale or for personal only, then you can get some truly amazing bud. During the 90's there were people trading MJ and Cocaine across the US border pound for pound. I remember prices being in the $200-300/oz. I never bothered to buy much. Too many friends that grew so I didn't need to.

I may may break down and start the Malawi once my Lemon Kush are finished. I still haven't decided.

Hey again CK, indeed it is fairly windy down my way particularly through summer although you'd be surprised how hot it can get! When it goes outside ill be able to visit it maybe 2 possibly 3 times a week. Its probably a 40 - 60 minute walk. Might time it one day and see haha Will sure try to get some chicken wire don't want anything munching on it. Tauranga bet its good growing up there! Checked out the yearly sunshine hours for my area and it is 1,964. Sounds like ya got it pretty good up there with your 2400!! My current lighting situation is its just under a 23W CFL and it seems to do the job. Night time is goes under the CFL and during the day its been in the sun and theirs been generally a fairly good breeze. Giving it a 3 or 4 hour dark time just to let it rest though. Already has that slight "weed smell to it" if you put your nose right up to it ;-)

Anyway heres an update of day 13 (Almost 2 weeks since it came through). Had a bit of trouble at the start with the stem braking and being quite long and manky but its been replanted since and is doing well. 3 days since the last picture. Cheers
