Thanks so much for the reply CK, we really appreciate the advice. We are not far out of Hamilton, generally a couple of degrees warmer than the 'Tron on average.

We've been trawling the internets for weeks trying to find good NZ info - this thread is huge and we are loving reading through every post (up to page 15 so far!) Sounds like you had a great grow last year, we've got some bagseed that we are going to guerilla-grow (we live rural) so fingers crossed for them too. Big focus is on the imported seeds - we've read some great stuff about Blue Dream in particular.
Thanks heaps mate - we'll post pics as the grow progresses.
Sweet as, how many imported seeds do you have?. I usually deal with clones for outdoor but starting seeds in October and planting them a month later will give you 8ft+ plants at least depending on the strain.

Black Domina x G13 inside currently.
Some of the frostiest bud I've grown, pics don't really do it justice. I'll upload some of them in the dark to show the insane resin production.

Definitely growing this outdoor this year. Really solid and strong branching and doesn't stretch too much. Old school fox tailing indica bud structure. Smells to potent!.
The new Cotton candy seed popped up in 3 days with no germination before hand! not to mention a frozen seed too.

Thanks for this DD - you've given us great reassurance. The seeds are all from HSO (Spain), and beautifully presented in the wooden boxes. Would love to compare notes with you as we go - looks like we'll get started fairly soon. We are a bit worried about how big the girls will get - we've heard Sativa's can get up to 4 meters high! Will you be doing anything to keep the height down?

Thanks for posting the pic too - they look super-healthy. We'll be stoked if ours come out as good!
from everything ive read up the HSO version seems the better 1 to get lots of reports of the cali conections being prone to hermie. I guess it will depend on phenos if you got a very sativa type most photos and reports ive found are mostly indica. as for worrying about hight im not an optimist and I doubt I would ever be able to grow a plant that high but if something goes right ill worry about it at the time lol. all I worry about and focus on is stealth from rippers and pigs. theres no point growing massive or even any plants at all if some prick can find them.

I like to grow bushier plants anyway I start them early and a week or so after planting I take a heap of cuttings from them and also FIM the uncut laterals the winds here absolutely smash plants I don't think big tall plants would handle it anyway mother nature will take care of that.

Oh yeah 3 weeks from seed will be enough to get them big enough for outside.

Yeah that's the same one bro, that bat guano will be pretty strong by itself.
The smaller pack will be algood for the amount of plants you're growing.

sounds like a good setup nute and soil wise, I might lime my spots a month before planting. I'm aiming for 6-8ft real bushy plants, cotton candy and Black Domina x g13 are my 2 first choices - people crave CC so bad here and in auckland they say they've never had weed like it before.
Sweet as bro Im gonna order it soon. The Black Domina x G13 looks insane.
I think Ill have to do a CC it sounds way to good to resist! Message me and well sort the Panama DC out if you still want it  I reckon itl be dank as hell!
Im gonna top one of my Panamas and let the other one grow into a tall tree, just for fun and to see how high I can get her hahah The rest of my plants Im gonna try and keep bushy and controlled.
Nearly time to start up a 14/15 thread ha?!

For those that don't already know Ive got a few plants out already to see what they do. I was testing the seeds from my last crop and either had to put them outside and see what they do or kill them so I thought screw it they can go outside lol I think Ive got 3 females and a male! Very very slow growing this time of year with the cold and defiantly not ideal. Looking a little sagged from hardly any sun and to much rain but they're alright. Surprised these haven't flowered with only 10 - 11 hours of light?

Second from the left is the male and the one on the far right is a female. The other two im 80% sure are female. The male was super cropped and was looking good until I took the tape of and the wind came and pummeled the broken supper cropped top of, now all the new shoots are fighting for the dominant position :)

seriously looking at converting our vege patch to a timber framed greenhouse, with the opaque white sheeting, to catch more off angle sun as we are on the back of a hill in tasman and conceal it from the neighbors, it all ready has irrigation which we can convert to drip feed... how much smell can you expect in a hothouse from 4-6 plants, and how best to conceal the smell? looking at a site redpath which sells green house accesories, has a polyweave sheeting which just staples on, and auto window opener etc

cheers mate, na i'll take some tonight. yeah I've never seen foxtailing so intense before, blue og had that trait but not as intense, must be some good old school indica genes in there. No actual seed company, just a private spanish breeder I think.

Should you put these pots on a plank with the plank on an inverted pot, then the plants would make good use of that reflective proprieties of that wall, I hope you bring them in at night, even with a little light will prevent them going to bud, for one month or until the 9/20 when north and south go 12x12 ..?

Hmm smart idea i think Ill look into this. On sunny days they go directly into the sun against a straight white wall. Itd be nice if they made it to 9/20 or more because they don't get alot of sun at the moment and they aren't showing any signs of flowering. I only bring them in on really cold nights anything below 0 and they come in. A couple of nights ive been away and they've lived through -1/-2 with minimal damage but they really slow down and don't like it.

With cold temps ..in my place many growers use black rubbermaids or plastic bottles painted black to act as a solar heater and emitt heat on those cold nights or days
good luck

I think at this stage ill germinate in early sept and then into small pots for until say mid oct latest.....I want about 3-5 sets of leaves before I put one straight into the ground and the other one or 2 in 25 gallon smart pots
