new to indoor growing MH and HPS

I've decided to start doing indoor growing too and i was wondering a few things. I'm either going to get MH or HPS lights but i'm wondering how hot these lights will make the area and if 3 big house fans will keep them cool enough before i burn my place down and how much could i expect in a power bill increase?

I am using a 400 watt hps for flowering and 10 floro tubes for veg my bill went up about 20 a month with 18/6 veg and 12/12 flowering. However i did change to cfl in all the house lights and yard lights

get a 250w MH bluespectrum for veg. and a 400w HPS for flowering. thats the most economic combnation

Get an enviorlite 6400k, you can get these in the sizes 125w 200w, there are some bigger cfls too that go upto 300w. These are more economical than the metal halide.

For flowering its all going to come down to your personal needs and preferences.

How many plants are you going to grow and in what space, width height depth.

You wont have been given decent advice until you let us know the answer to these questions.

um my space will be about 4x4 height 6 feet i'd like to do about 6 plants too also will 3 big house fans be able to keep this cool enough ?
