The aluminum angle keeps it rigid but it does have a little bounce to it. I got the thinnest angle they have at Home Depot. If I was to do it again I'd get the next size thicker. Hmmmm. It was easy to drill though.
good to know. i considered steel and welding it.. but then realized I'd have to deal with rust.. so aluminum it is!

looks like your rig is connected tightly so i doubt the bounce will be an issue.

OK. Light is up. Have some more cable management to take care of so it still looks a bit sloppy. Getting my tent cleaned up and will will take PPFD reading Friday afternoon when I have some time. Remember, this is a 4x4 frame. Coverage isn't an issue here.

wow even if lm561b, you will get insane numbers i think... i have 4 QB (1216 diode) in a 4x4 @ 700w and it's almost too much light. how many total watt does your 8 board fixture run, and what was total cost if you dont mind answering @chuckduck ?

I used to be an audio guy but haven't played around with stereo equipment in some time. I just try to build things as neat and clean as I can, and if I can't get something put together quite the way I envision it than it really bothers me lol.
im the exact same way, i need to have things just right or i will fixate over until i get it right. your wire management is definitely on point. i could take a pointer or two from you on that..

So these boards are supposed to have the lm561c chips? And the ones you already received only had the "b" chips? Did he give you some sort of partial refund for the "b" chip boards o a good deal on these new ones?
Correct. I was originally supposed to get the "C" version and he sent me "B+". The boards were even marked LM561C. He insists that it was a mistake. He also claims that the two chips are priced the same. Is that true? He did give me a deal (half price) on these so it takes a bit of the sting out this whole thing. Still have to pay shipping. $10/board.

..my guess is zero %..and i will be up next..Merry Christmas
You have some of these coming? Good thing we have this place to police what he's selling.
can Bs and Cs be distinguished by voltage measurement? havent looked at datasheets, just curious
@CobKits Can I send you one of these new boards that I have coming? I'm sure the folks here would like your opinion on these.

So in the end I'll have $600 into 16 boards. Over 5000 diodes in a 4X8 tent.
