$25 compared to $75+ is not a few dollars more, we know you're not the brightest of thinkers, but dude, simple math...

if it were something more reasonable like, $25 compared to $40 or $50... then yea, I'd likely just spend the "few extra dollars"...

you and reseller sock puppet nc208 deserver each other.. two morons in the same sucker pod.

tell me again how you'd like everyone else to pay for your student loan debt.. moron.
So far the only sucker is you. You've already gotten an order of bad boards.

What's your time worth, anyway?

You're as ignorant a loudmouth here as you are in politics.

How do you know? I haven't even received the boards yet, dumbass.

Keep talking out your ass dude.

Your logic is on par with your politics. You pay $75 for a board and diodes made in China, but resold in US, I pay $25 for likely the same diodes and definitely a different PCB. And I'm the sucker.

And all the hours you've spent screaming on this thread alone tell everyone watching how little respect you have for the value of time- be it yours or anyone else's.

Best of luck.

Good luck to the bargain hunters- but sometimes you get what you pay for.
So far so good.

2 HLG-240H-C1050A drivers just arrived. Paid $98 for both, shipped.

Just put an order in for 12 heatsinks, paid just under $125 shipped.

Along with my wires and wago connectors and "chinese knockoff" boards, Im at a total of $580.

If I buy 4 more 240h-c1050a drivers at $196.. I will be at roughly $780 total for 12 powered boards, which by my calculations is roughly $1200 less than what the resellers are charging...

even if I were to get shit boards and have to return them and lose out on $60 in shipping, and I end up buying just the boards from a reseller at some point, Im still up $350+

my time means nothing when i have residual income, manage employees and know how to multi-task.

so yea, I'd say my luck is doing well..

Yet here you are debating me about it... and I'm still getting paid... so sad.

But way to divert the subject, talking out your ass, so you change the subject.

Well shit...

I only had this conversation with tty recently too.

He supports big business when it's selling something he approves of, even robbing customers at a 300% markup.

He tried to tell me a business needs to recoup R&D costs, make a profit, blah blah blah.

And he calls Democrats greedy capitalists?

The thing he fails to realize is that I make LED lamps all the time from scratch (gotta have that Wi-Fi controlled RGB or you ain't nerding it properly nowadays, as you're probably well aware), they really aren't that complicated at all and anyone with even hobbyist electronics knowledge knows he's full of shit.

Please note, to anyone who doesn't have money to burn, I would suggest either accepting the gamble of getting Chinese boards or just bite the bullet and get the HLG boards.

I already have tons of lights and I grow for personal use, pollen chucking and for fun. I also have money to burn, so it's not really a big issue for me.

So please don't take my posts as an argument for only going to chinese suppliers, there is something to be said for resellers if they stand behind their products. It appears that HLG and resellers do. So if that's important to you, go with them.

End disclaimer.

The thing with Chinese suppliers...you can order excess and even if there's some failures you still have more than what you need at a lower price.

I love me that Chinesium and it's stinky factory smell.

Though I would agree that businesses do need to recover some of their costs, it is obvious these guys margins are a bit bigger than that.

And yes, ttystikk argues for the sake of arguing. He likes putting words together, but never really understands the meaning behind them.

I understand the need to recoup costs and make a profit...

But I'm not the one simultaneously lecturing people about "greedy capitalists" ;)

Ahh, very good point. He does tend to talk from two sides of his face.
They also rag on Chinese suppliers...

I bet they think iPhones are actually "Made in America" too.

Nearly everything comes from a Chinese factory, you've just got to find a decent supplier rather that the dude selling whatever was cheap in the Shenzen market that day.

Quote where I tried to sell you anything.
