New Mars Hydro TSL2000 run

I'll post some up once I complete a run as I bought some of the sp150 and 250s and some spider farmers for the summer. Love me some HPS but I think I can offset the electrical and ac savings with LEDs.
Oh cool, I really think SF has a cool look to it. They have a nice product imo. I just get bothered by the potentiometer being on the bottom of the driver.

yeah it bothers me as well, i'm trying to just leave em at full power and raise the lights as needed. No sign of burns on the older plants yet, my veg tent got a bit of light burn from the LEDs though.

Sorry to clog up your run, I'll post up my own thread with pictures.

if you meant me, I'm still getting my feet wet again on the first run. I've got a soil plant in 5gal under sf2k

sp250's are being used for supplemental lighting with 2k hps.

It's a DIY from an EcoSunLite. Had CXB3070's and PCB pucks with Cree XPE Whites and Blues and Osram Reds. Just spread them all out, used better drivers, and gave each component it's own heatsink.IMAG0332.jpg

Hey man, neither did I. They ain't Samsung's, but they're pretty damn efficient for the price if you ask me. Decent fixture builds too. What more is an HLG550 but a glorified anodized baking sheet? :-P
Yeah, but how do we know how efficient they really are, other than taking their word for it?

"What more is an HLG550 but a glorified anodized baking sheet?" Proven quality, value and service.

This is true all very true. But that's why I'm doing this run for the forums. I'm very confident these will do a great job. Not the most efficient, sure. Not the best chips out there, sure. But they aren't claiming they are. They clearly state they're Epistars newer Surface Mount Diodes (SMD) and that in my book is very commendable.

All I wanna see is how it grows! Honestly if I knew how to build these lights assuming they can pull their weight against a 1k de hps I'd build them. If I had the capital to start a led company and build cost effective lights for everyone at a very reasonable price i would do it! Not gonna lie LED fixtures are taxed. But keep up the work bro! Hopefully the grow is good!

Just started posting not to long ago. Rather see someone test and what not than someone say it's bad but there's no side by side. I'm thinking to go LED or just stick with DE HPS. I need about 10 lights right now :( lol
You can do LED for quite cheap nowadays friend.
You'd be best settled ordering as many boards as you'd need to fill your space, (mega discounts on larger quantities) from China. Meiju, kingbrite, R2T qre your best bet. Shipping won't be much for just boards.
Buy several Mean well HLG 480's or 600's locally for warranty reasons, some angle aluminum from a website I can hook you up with for dirt cheap aluminum, build them, plug in the drivers, and get to growin.

I promise you, it's very easy to build a light with the advancements that have come along recently.
