I'm planning to upgrade my setup in about 6 weeks or so. I have a few ideas but i was just wondering what other knowledgable people thought. Not saying money is a major factor but at the same time i'm not trying to just shell out money for the hell of it either.
Tent will be DR90 (3x3). Have a few LED options in mind. Just looking for the best 'all around LED option. I'll start out with the most expensive first. Apache Tech AT200. At that price only one light would be in my price range(the high end). Would it cover a 3x3 without having to add any supplemental? (Before anyone says it i know 2 lights don't compare to one but a comparison isn't what i'm after) Then there's 2xRW150 + 2xRW75(present lighting). Either that configuration or add 4xRW75 for a total of 6 75's. I thought about those DIY Cree cob 3070 that i'm seeing. 2x3000k at either 70 or 90w, maybe get 2x5000k and put one in between both 3000k having both my RW75's in the center. But if i went that route i'd need the parts that need the least amount of tools because i don't have a solder, never used one and have no where to use it. Idk too much about what special tools are needed to build a DIY but i know all i have is a few BASIC tools. Ha. So needing to by certain tools would add to the overall cost. Which is ok to an extent. If i knew where to get all the LED components i need to DIMyself and what tools i need i would have priced it already but i don't. If all else fails i'll just get 2 more 75's and call it a day.
Kinda feel like the DIY option would be the best overall. But idk how much everything would cost so i can't say. All helpful knowledgeable info, along with people that actually have experience with these lights is appreciated. If you need more info from me just lemme know Thanks!
