New grow tent, 300W LED Panel, second grow ever.

Hey everyone,

I figured I would start a grow journal since I have a brand new setup that I am using, and this is only my second time ever growing a plant so hopefully we can all learn together as I go. All tips and constructive criticism are more than welcome!

So as far as to what I am running, here we go...

- 300W LED Panel (not a huge name brand but had pretty good reviews and says it's full spectrum)
- Feminised White Widow seeds.
- Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil.
- 1.5 gallon pot (need help with this and what I should use for the space in the long run)
- Using my tap water that I let sit out for a good day or so, and adjusting PH to right at 6 when watering.
- Fox Farms trio of nutes for down the road.
- Light schedule since the seed went in is 18/6.

For the space...

- Brand new grow tent that is roughly 2x3x5.
- Tent is in an upstairs unfinished room (may have to move to the garage when it gets real hot, we'll see)
- Temps are steady in the tent right now at 81 or under so far.
- I have a small fan inside the tent to move some air around that stays on even during dark period.
- No carbon filter or exhaust system on the tent currently.

I own my own house, and live with my wife with no kids, and she knows that I am growing, but I need to remain fairly stealthy so I may end up putting the tent in the garage for the summer and building a cabinet around it to conceal it with carbon filter and exhaust setup, but that project is down the road after I get up and rolling. For now the tent stays upstairs in the house.

I am the only one that smokes, and I have no interest in selling, so just running a plant or two at a time is all I will be going for most likely. Definitely quality over quantity for me.

We are on day 6 currently with the WW bean, which was under CFL's since sprout, and have now moved her in the tent and under the LED panel.

I posted some pictures of the tent setup, and I will post some close up pictures of the fresh girl later, just not a whole lot to see so far. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who has any interest in following this and helping me out along the way! ;)

Hooray, this will be quite education for me. White Widow is my strain of choice for my next grow, and I'm also going to enjoy watching a tent/LED grow.

How much did the LED panel cost you? I'm very interested in LED grow lights, and would love to make the upgrade one day.

Im at workso couldnt read it all. Im on my first grow its going great.

You said you use soil, people say to not adjust ph dealing with soil. Tap water, plus dyna grow protekt (its silica fyi, brings ph up as well) is what I do.

Ocean forest is what I have as well, it might be hot for some seedlings, but itll bounce back.

Got the panel on sale on Ebay for just a little over $100. Like I said, it is not a major name brand LED panel or anything but it seems to be doing alright so far. Curious to see how it does during flowering.

I don't suppose you would have a link or product number for the light would you ?
I'm on first grow using cfls and want to change was looking at hps but led might be a better option for me .

Sure, here is the link:

Seems to be doing alright for the price, but again, we will see during flowering. Either way though not too much out of pocket money even if it doesn't do so well.

Still looking great :) Quality photos too!
Thank you! Giving her just tap water that has sat out for a couple days and PH'd to right at 6 when going into the soil.

Any feelings out there on how much longer I should go before starting to feed nutrients?

Another thing, about the pictures...is it easier for people to look at the full size images or as thumbnails? any preference?
