new grow northern light

Yeah, Chilled's new grow lights and it's waterproof acrylic housing is a good example for an IP67 unit. IP66 is easier to realize and well enough in my eyes.
SanLight has made a good compromise with the new LED bars and distributed 4 clusters of 10-12 LEDs over a 3.1 'long heat sink, covered by water-tight lenses.

my mate is saying i would of been better off with 2 x 315w cmh bulbs,
is he right or wrong >>??
He's right, you are basically using old tech , those cree diodes aren't as good as the latest on the market and the spectrum of LEDs doesn't hold a candle to CMH spectrum.

i haven`t pushed the buy button yet thankfully , i wanted a few opinions, the way i read it , it was the latest technology from cree ?? so your saying 2 x 315cmh will crush 2 x telos 0008 ??

The Telos Systems utilise high powered LED technology from CREE INC. The white LEDs are XPG3 lamps which are the most efficient white LEDs in the 3535 class. The new XPEHE lamp is used for the photo-red (660nm) enhancements. The top bin (C01) photo red used in the Telos is the most efficient 660nm package in the 3535 high powered class.

if its only 300 watts, of course (2) x 315 CMH would be better.

you should tell him, if I hit you with this light I have, or the lights I don't have: which one would hurt more.
the new gn light is 250w and i was getting x2 so against 2 315cmh ?? who comes out best >??

It would beyond crush it, not only the yield would be better but the quality would be so much better under the CMH, LEDs have zero UV and near no IR, both are essential to growing high quality cannabis.

Those are the latest cree chips, but cree is kinda behind in the market right now.

Hmmm still a nice light but thats a lot more dough

Are they £420 + shipping?
Is £420 a promo price to lure stoners?
Its pretty lame/dubious when growlight mfgs price their lights at £€$420

Either way it would be nice to see some more info re: spectrum (maybe i missed the spd somewhere) before beginning to compare this guy to a cmh.

is ot worth the extra, i mean they both grow plants ,i think i may be better off with grownorthern in the long run ???
