yeah, that is when i am worried about. just thinking ahead :-) I have tried using insulated ducting, didnt work. dont want to go through all that creating a silent box, wrap this here, hammer that there shit. pain in my ass. can i just get away with a smaller fan?
This speed controller works really well. I have a 4" inline fan that gets really loud on full power and this will slow it down to a hum. You don't need the fan running full power until they really get stinky, so you can at least keep the sound down during the early stages.

I get it lol.. try and dial it down if u got that option.. how many plants u have ?
Just one, might add another~ not sure yet.....and I have been looking at low odor plants like northern lights. But that's my question, I want to dial it down, what size down to, without hurting my plant? I want her to have proper air circulation during flower, but dont need a friggin jet engine.
I do have a controller, even on medium it is loud. I think i might have gotten a shitty fan, shouldnt be this loud.

Wouldn't worry bout smell with just 1 or two plants to be honest.. u could def get away with dialing it back u could use that ona stuff around the door to ur apartment and u should be find I know people always worry bout smell but unless u got a dozen plants I wouldn't stress it to much.. another thing is to keep air moving and don't let it stale up and u should be find.. imo.. ✌

I like your thinking! I have 2 oscillating fans inside her tent. heat is not an issue, actually its a little low all the time, runs 70, and not worried about humidity, that runs 25 and i have to keep it up all the time with little tricks to get it to 50. yeah, i really want to return this fan and filter i got on amazon, its pissing me off. would attract landlords attention over the smell! LOL

Mine came with one also. Even the low setting is loud and moves a lot of air. This controller will take it down to a few rpms. I needed a happy medium between the original low and dead low. This gives it to me. Just fyi, not pushing it.
well on low my fan is like, off. then when i turn it up a little the fan starts going WHIRRRR WHIRRRRRRRRR WHIRRRRRR.....damn thing attracts more attention that anything. gona rethink this setup.

If u can return it.. they have tons of quiet fans out there I have a 6" can max fan thing is quiet on low it sounds like the heater to a car is running on maybe 2 or 3..

I'm running simple 150 cfm fans 6" from Home Depot. They work fine and cost me like 35$.

Ok so I went to the store today and had to change up my room it's been constant problems on light distribution proper set up being able to water easy enough and I finally fixed and changed out wood and built some new shit. So here's the new set up. Finally I think this will be my veg room as is for now on.
