New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

I xplanted to 5 gallon smart pots today. Humidity in the tent spiked so I tweaked the vent fan controls.

I started 4 seeds figuring I'd get to 1 or 2 to this stage. All 4 are still with me so it looks like that is what I'll set the tent up for. These were fem seeds, so all should be ladies.

I'd def like a better light set up after I get what I can out of my hid lights now. I'm very happy with my t5 florescent and 400w MH for clone/veg. Jumping into the Nutes starting on Monday or tomorrow. I'll be happy when I start my 1000wHPS Flower room though See these little babies turn to mature beautiful big booty and fully developed tits women. Basically take it from there. Shit maybe i can produce a elbow or two out of six plants. But if not I'm totally content with whichever comes from it. Either way it will be a learning curve towards my future growing experience. I'm constantly changing my room and realizing what I can do better day to day week to week. As always I will keep y'all posted and look forward to your grows as well.
Elbow... lol haven't heard that in a while lol.. if u getting 1gpw u doing great going off of other people's opinion around the boards.. what I say is.. set a goal and try to come close or surpass it and in that process try to learn a thing or two..

Hey guys....which ONA scent do you find works best for odor coverage?
Apple crumble, Polar Crystal, Pro, Fresh Linen

Which ONA form do you find works best?
Gel, aerosol spray??

It is rather expensive and not sure what to order.
Thanks in advance!

I went straight to a carbon filter. I don't think you will be able to scent over this stuff. My son had a single ounce in his room at one point and the whole house stunk.

The one i have is in the tent on the exhaust side. I may have to add a room scrubber at harvest. My wife will kill me if I dank the whole house up for days.

I have an exhaust fan and filter, was going to just use ONA as a backup JIC. :-)

I've heard to leave ONA outside grow area, as it can effect plant taste.(other opionions) - Now I need help- am out of room(ht.wise and don't want to light burn plants) so planning on cutting Scrog screen, emptying res(do for a change) and moving to big tent and 2 600wt. HPS and gaining 1 1/2 ft. ht. How close can I put my HPS to tops? Any thoughts? Want to get all out of this amazing 1st attempt and figure I have at least another month on these Autos -with ecogrower ht. and plants I'm at 51" and have lights at 64" . So is 11" too close?

Yeah, for a 2x4 you need about 400 watts. Not that bad. It's the guys who go to 5x5 (1000w) and larger that really start to spend the coin.

But really, a 2x4 with a 400w light can get you 8 oz dry bud every 90-110 days (perfect grow). If you can do the veg on the side, you can drop that to every 60-75 days. I guess if you want 1.5 pounds dry weight in those timeframes, you gotta kick up the coin flow.

But what I was getting at is the cost to stay current. Dump your hid and get cobs. Dump your cobs and get qb. Dump your qb and get?

Oh, and you will need c02 once you get everything dialed in. Controllers, generators, and now you need a/c and dehumidifiers plus all the digital controllers to keep everything in balance.

But wait, now you need to upgrade your electrical service because 2 x 20 amp circuits isn't enough.

And you won't want to stay in dirt at that point. So it's hydro or aero. More equipment, and controllers, and an RO system, and a whole line of more expensive snap's.

And of course, you need supersized filters to scrub the air.

And security. All the punks in your neighborhood are gonna think you have pounds of pot and lots of cash on hand. All of your hard work are belong to them.

It's a never ending escalation.

Meh, I'm not interested in an arms race. I'm just going to enjoy the zen and have some fun. If my current light dies, I'll build a diy with whatever is riding high. If I don't get 2g/w, or even 1 g/w, I'm not going to tear everything down and build it back up.

But if you have the resources. Go for it. I like the vicarious thrills. ;)
You happen to be right. The answer is to develop a product that solves more problems than it causes.

The quantum boards produce more light for a given wattage and heat load than nearly anything else in volume production. Their individual diodes are spread far enough apart across a large board that the unit never gets hot. Aiming a fan at it is desirable as it provides a means to reduce RH by adding conduction heat to the airspace. This encourages plant transpiration and therefore feeds growth.

Here is my dilemma: I have a 30 cubic foot tent (3x2x5), a 4" 190cfm fan and filter and I will never grow more than 2 plants at a time. so in theory, this fan and filter recirculates the air in my tent approx 6 times a minute (30x6=180). This damn fan is loud. the air coming out of it is damn loud. Sounds like a jet engine taking off.

i am in an an apartment where the landlord is in here all the friggin time. Come flower time I am going to be shitting bricks.

Since I am not worried about heat (using just a mars hydro 300 LED and heat has been NO issue) and I am not worried about humidity (my apartment has WAY LOW humidity all year) and I'm just worried about smell come flower time, can i lower the cfm of the fan? Do i have to have the air circulating 6 times a minute just for smell worries?? Cant I just get like a 60cfm fan that will recirculate the air 2 times a minute??
