I used 151 dark rum. It stings my tongue also, so now I just add it to a soda or fruit juice and take it as a medible. Youtube deletes any videos showing how to reduce tincture to rso. But the one I saw had you use a double boiler and just stir the hell out of the tincture until it gets to an oil state. You have to tend it. And it is very flammable. So be careful.....

But there are a few products on the market that will do it automatically and even reclaim the alcohol. Forget the name, but they made a social media push a while back. The machine was somewhere in the $400 range. Expensive but takes the risks and guesswork out of it, plus reclaim can save you $30 a run depending on how much grain you use.

That was the method I used. Hot Plate with double boiler outside on the deck tended for 8 hours.

I found an alcohol distiller (used for concentrating wines) that has variable heat settings for $230. You can use the water distiller model but you have a higher risk of scorching it. If I do this on a regular basis I will get one.

1st time I tried the tincture I squirted the whole 3ml dropper under my tongue. The expression on my face and how quickly I spat it out and ran for a drink made my room mate afraid to try it. I mix it with coffee or coke now and barely notice it's in there. He's still scared. lol

I've had 1/2 pint sitting the sun for 2 weeks and I think it's gonna take 2 yrs to evaporate down. lol. I really want to make e-juice. I think I'm gonna decarb some sifted kief and melt it into some PG and see how that goes next. Got a neat little (read:expensive) decarb machine. Only does up to an oz at a time (about an hour) but, there's no odor emitted whatsoever and the whole unit is about the size of a small Folger's can. Perfect for small amounts of kief. :bigjoint:

Is that supply AND delivery combined?

national grid breaks up their bills into (2) parts, supply & delivery. (fixed supply rate is 9.45 cents or so....and delivery rate is 12 cents or so) They do that I guess because they HAVE to be the ones to deliver our electric, but we can have a choice of our supplier. I looked around, not many much lower.

They watered the sips containers. No worries there. Those plants did fine with one mid-week watering. They forgot however to water the plants in the small veg tent. They were drooping when i got home. I watered them and they appear to be bouncing back, but now I can't xplant them today like I was planning.

Arghhh. Hoping I don't get set back another month. Sigh.......

that stinks hon. I was actually looking into the AUTO POT system, no pump no electricity gravity fed bottom feeding.... on plants schedule, not mine~ they just drink when they are thirsty. you fill up the res and plants do the rest :-)

My last grow didnt bum out because of anyone else, it bummed out because of me. bad mommy. so much going on in my life i didnt give them the care they needed and only got 1oz between two plants. almost made me cry. how the hell did i pull 3oz of my one plant/first grow? must have been some FINE mojo in that WW seed that B4MeLiz gave me!! :-)

I have 2 babies (autos) going now but It will take 2 months till harvest. I feel like I let my daughter down.

My wife just took 5 ml with 15ml iced tea. Not under her tongue. Went down smooth.

Doesn't the sun degrade THC? Wouldn't a fan blowing in it at room temperature be more effective? I know mine evaporated quickly.

I have seen that in action. That is my dream extractor. Vacuum chamber is the way to go. That is second on my list for expensive equipment. Wish we had a lend lease program. A trimmer would be number 1.

I have seen that in action. That is my dream extractor. Vacuum chamber is the way to go. That is second on my list for expensive equipment. Wish we had a lend lease program. A trimmer would be number 1.

I was thinking there is a business opportunity to rent this stuff out. Either at a storefront where people rent and use onsite or Taylor rental style. You could also offer some lab services to sex plants or get thc percentage or check for mold or pesticides.

hey, i pulled 3oz of my first plant, first try, first time ever growing ANYTHING. i put that poor little thing through hell. of course it is possible, keep it up!!! :-)

This is a crazy, f'd up situation for a plant that quite literally hasn't hurt anyone, and has helped many.

The good thing about a large harvest and loving to grow is that weight doesn't matter anymore to me. I was always worried about supply and running out between harvests. I don't have to grow anything for about 10 months so it's play time.

I just harvested a Dinafem Blue Kush auto from a 1 gallon coco grow. She was 38" tall and awkward as hell to try and move around being in a 1 gallon folger's can, looks like she'll be around 4-5oz dry. Judging from that, I believe I'm going to 2 gallon buckets soon depending on the outcome of my current, 2nd run in 4 gallon. Unless it's absolutely astounding the 4gals are getting the boot. Not enough plant size/weight difference to justify more coco AND nutes per plant. 1 gal is too small to go 24 hours between watering. Coco is definitely a different beast than soil when it comes to plant/pot size ratio in my experience. 1 gallon coco grown auto looked just like the average 5 gallon soil grown auto. Fricken awesome.

Oh yeah. lol. I made an alcohol tincture in the magical butter machine. The 8 hour setting made with 2 oz (they recommend an 1/8 to an oz). OMG. Tastes nasty as hell but 1ml will make you're whole body feel like jello. 3mls will fuck you up for a good 8-10 hours. A full pint of this is gonna last forever.

Haha i made everclear tincture in magical butter machine also, does taste like crap, reduced it to oil though, smokin that stuff gets ya pretty ripped, did the whole 2.5oz to 750ml in the machine, pulled 30.5oz in a 4x4 in my first cob grow on a 450watt cree cxb 3590 3500k light, 1.89 GPW, not too bad, next time will be better, running 600watts 3500k/3000k mixed plus a few strings of 3 watt diodes, UV/IR/FarRed and bluefish controller, gonna be fun to play around with

I understand how numbers can be skewed that way. I vegged for 7 weeks but it was under 200w cobs so that is about the same g/w as 1 month under my 440w cobs. I flowered for 9-10w which I believe is typical if not fast. Do you get a high g/w on a 7w flower by using a SOG with dozens of small plants? I am keeping this under the legal limit.

Now that I have succeeded in high yield, the only thing that really matters to me is potency and taste since I still have a hard time getting rid of it.

My newest batch has just stabilized humidity in the 62-65 range in it's jar. It is already my favorite. I smoke all the time and it only took 2 hits to get wasted this morning.

Time isn't part of the equation when you're growing autos. ;-). Yeah, that put a bit more of a bunch in that dude's panties as well. :bigjoint:

I didn't try for weight, Didn't expect it. Didn't want that much. It did prove to me that gpw as a benchmark for skill means fuck all. It's like saying someone's a better cook for making 2 more cups of soup and ONLY counting amount of electricity used. C'mon.

Not the best analogy but, whatever. lol

simply put...its a seed. you drop it in soil. it grows. its god given. a medical miracle.

i dont mess with it, i dont alter it, i dont add other things to it, i dont cut it with anything (hence...alcohol and cigarettes? Look at the ingredients in THEM sometime, OMG)....its a SEED. IT GROWS~ just like tomatoes, or basil, garden flowers, or friggin lettuce. What if i want to smoke my dried parsley? someday if someone finds that smoking parsley causes a certain effect is some tight ass politician going to start a campaign and push a law that we cant have/grow that too???

pisses me off. free country my ass.
