Need help w vent/light

i need help for figuring out how much cubic feet are in the room and what size fans i will need the room is 24"tall-24"wide-10"deep and what would be the best light set up for this size room.
i plan of growing 1 2 plants at most.

for lighting i am considering a new wave 24" x 4 bulb t5 set up, with both 4red/4blue blubs for about 150, ntb but im still looking.

i would do a 250w HPS/MH With cool tube with a 4inch extraction fan with filter for outake and you could get away with passive intake

being that its basically 2ft tall 2ft wide and barley 1 ft deep a 4 in fan might be a little to small, with a 250w mh/hps i think, and
what is passive intake?
and would i be able to start the plants from seed under a mh/hps system. and which one should i get besides a 250w?

4inch fan will be big enough trust me, and passive intake is where the pull off the extraction fan pulls fresh air through a vent at the botten of the grow space

Cubic feet = length x width x height I think your saying your room is 2 ft tall 2 ft width 10 Inches length? If that's correct your a lil less than 6 cf the light u picked would b good but it's about the same size as the room so don't think it would fit? Is this a chunk of a closet or somethin? When u go to flower u would wanna change all the bulbs to the red ones since there's only 4 of em 2 blues and 2 reds won't produce a good amount of bud at that wattage. 12 plants seem like alot for that space . Heck one plant seems like alot for that space.... Unless u meant 1 or 2 2 may b possible. If I'm understanding u right on your room size I would just get like a 250 watt compact fluorescent with reflector use the cool blue for veg and the warm daylight for flower that's should be a lil smaller in size then the t5 system and have more watts

4 inch fan for Exaust is definitely enough any bigger for that space would b overkill just make sure u have a decent sized vent somewhere for a passive intake. Also I would use cfl for that size space

thanks weeds and yeah i mean 1 or 2 plants sicne im going to go with autos, for the first few go's,its hard to describe the room its 2 ft tall 2 and about 10" deep possibly considering justing building it to 2fttallx2ftwidex1ftdeep.

so for the vert have 1 4in intake and 1 4in exhaust? this room has to be almost smell proof. so for the exhaust im either going to make or buy something to cover the smell i hard something with charcoal. and i think i might jsut go with the cfls, have like 2 100w?

Man u r really crammed on space with the reflector your only gonna have like a foot to grow minus your pot size if u can try to add height to your space that would help alot. IMO u don't need an intake fan just an Exaust If there's somewhere air can get in the room the negative pressure from the Exaust fan will pull fresh air in without letting air or smell out. as for a filter 1 or 2 plants isn't gonna smell much u don't need to worry about neighbors if u have a room mate they might get a whiff if there nearby your growspace I would just by an auto odor killing aerosol dispenser and keep it near the space if u want a filter get the smallest charcoal filter u can find I think can filters makes a little tiny one and hook it up to the Exaust fan

If u go cfl and think u have room just get 1 200 or 250 watt if u go t5 get a 4 bulb 2 ft system take measurements of your space and get the dimensions of the light u want to put in make sure u r gonna have room b 4 u buy n e thing

hm true i might be able to get about a 3ft tall x 2ft wide x 1ft deep? would that work?

I don't like autos but some folks do if u bye those there ready to flower from the start no veg so u won't need any form of blue light just red

i am considering buying everything i need first and building around that seeing getting the lumber and supplies i need is free.

alright so if i go with 1 100w red cfl with just a socket and stick with the 2x2x1 and just line the inisde with aluminum foil/reflective material would i have enough room for grow 1 auto at a time?

That would help... Get as big of a space as possible those strain will probably want to get 3 - 4 ft tall your gonna have to do some training LST or supercropping if u only do 1 plant top it I u do 2 dont

With no hood on the cfl Mayb the bulbs still get hot and u wanna keep your plants atleast a couple inches from the bulb at all times

well i was considering getting a pack of 5 auto seed of northern lights and do one at a time just to test different methods. andi was also thinking about doing one outdoors also at the same time to do a comparison see which is better.
