i was told to only use CO2 once in the middle of the day and twice at night . is that true ?
no, you use it only when the light is on and you have to keep adding because of leaks and plant usage.

Weed beats Viagra any day, make it weed and co2 and you can fix the deficit or cure cancer.

...Greatly reduce the number of visible crystals of thc. This is probably how the rumor about co2 hurting potency came about, somebody saw fewer crystals and assumed it was less potent. Well I just smoked some 3 day old lowryder bud that was in 1500 pppm co2 for most of it's life and it is the real thing:joint:

did i use a bit too much yeast? i used 2 gallons water>3 pounds sugar>36 grams yeast for a 4x8x7 room. after about an hour i came back and it looked like pancake mix all over the sides of the container like it erupted. this didnt happen in my last experiment where i used 3 gallon water>5 pounds sugar>21 grams yeast. which one was more ideal? i guess im asking if i use the latter recipe and i dont get the eruption, am i still producing a hi ppm of carbon dioxide?

First formula should work, I've never had it boil over on me, but I leave quite a bit of extra room in each container I use, even if that meant I needed to use extra containers, so if you had your two gallons of liquid in container(s) that held two gallons that would be too tight.

so when u recycle the yeast,do u strain it and get all the liquid out?
or do u let it settle and pour as much liquid as u can out of the bottle?
thanks

I just let it settle, but this part didn't work as well as I would have liked, that's why I continue to add 5 new grams of yeast. In theory, you should be able to completely reuse the yeast if you can get it to settle better. You can try pulling a container out of your room 12 hours early and putting it in the refrigerator and it may settle better.

already bought some and ready to test soon.
I originally recommended safale S-05 which is their American ale yeast, the S-04 is their English yeast. The English strain will floc a lot faster and may be better suited for this experiment as far as recycling goes. Just another option.

K, missed the number change. I've got the 5 so I'll start with that and move to the 4 if it doesn't work. Thanks again for the help.

desertrat, im having a little trouble trying to do the math. so ive come up with the sugar and the yeast( i think) im stuck on the water. The space i want to add co2 in is 4.5 cubic feet.

now i came up with

29.5 grams of sugar and .6 grams of yeast. how much water would i use?

Your dimensions are awfully small. Are you growing in a cabinet? That would be six ounces of water, so your whole fermentation set up would fit in a soda bottle.
