My setup, any thoughts? Yields?

Gram per watt is ambitious. Definitely doable but everything must be in order and NO hiccups. Not to mention your strain has to be able to produce those weights genetically. I would say the first benchmark would be to get an elbow off a 1000 watts. Your using 600's so maybe 200-300 grams per 600 watt lamp should be first goal. Once there then go for the gram/watt. Also, your questions about the speculation of what you could possibly yield is based on too many factors for any response to matter. Besides who wants to count eggs before they hatch so to speak? I am looking at starting up a RDWC system too. From what I hear about hydro in general is that things can go south really fast if your ducks aren't in a row. I would say forget about yield questions and worry about growing the best and most healthy plants you are capable of and yield will take care of itself. Good luck.

i agree, get your technique down and the rest comes

Yea good point- there's plenty of ways to get to 0 grams/watt, might be best to just avoid that for now.

Hey guys was just wondering if you could give me some advice
I'm looking to set away some autos in my x2 NFT MD100 SYSTEM (3 CHANNEL) I'm looking to run x4 600wt lights 8"intake and 8" filter/fan my question is, how many autos would I be able to fit in my system? I was looking at around 20 to 25 (around 4 plants to each channel) of auto critical mass..and would x4 600wat lights be over kill???

Sorry to but in to the tread any help/suggestions advice would be much appreciated .

thats basically 2 5foot X8 foot plots, if i read the dimensions properly on the website, says each channel is 64x32. will a 600 cover a 5x4 foot area? seems a little optimistic to me

Yeah thats right ..so x2 600wats over each system would not be sufficient? Trying to optimise my yield since I'm trying autos for 1st time as for amount of plants should I be looking at less mabies 3 plants per channel so 18 plants?.. Appreciate your time to reply mate thanks

a 600 is supposed to be able to cover a 5x5 area, but i think that outside foot is gonna be pretty weak, i wouldn't try to cover more than 4x4 with a 600. maybe with 4 of them you can get decent coverage, overlapping them slightly.
as far as how many plants, i'd say you ought to be able to get at least 20 in there, autos aren't notorious for growing into trees, space wise you ought to be alright, light wise, you're kind of on the edge

Well hopefully I'll get decent results with the 4 lights as moneys tight after buying the setup fingers crossed and hopefully the autos don't get to big in the system just ordered 20 critical mass collective .monster mass .thanx again.

Wow took awhile to get things going!!! I popped 3 mother seeds in rockwool starters. When roots started to pop thru cubes I transplanted them into my dwc net pots with hydroton medium. I have my 3 mother seeds under four t5 bulbs and seem to be doing fantastic as far as I can tell. I will veg with my 600mh once roots come out bottom of net pots. I will clone from them to put in the six bucket system after these grow bigger and sex them... I see roots barely poking out of bottom of net pots. I did end up feeding them with a half mixed solution of flora series. Keeping ph between 5.5-6.5 and my ppms are low around 200-300. That seem ok? Seems like they are doing fine. I lined the concrete wall with plastic and will be lining the floor also. Trying to upload pictures now.

Ima keep them in my dwc bucket. I'll be cloning from them to put in the 6 bucket system. Once they start getting some nodes is when I'll prolly sex and clone. I'll be using different seeds after this grow so the these mothers are one time use.

Hey man, been a while. I like your plan to 1 time use the mothers. I wouldn't force sex (by altering the photo period) unless you are: A, really good at cloning and B, want to take a chance at CAUSING hermaphrodites. I would grow them moms under a regular 18 hour veg cycle until they show pre-flowers on their own. You aren't gonna get many clones off those moms without a good amount of time in veg anyway, so you may as well let them show sex on their own... Once you get some pre-flowers proving which are female, then clone the shit out of them - and be sure to make enough clones that you have extras remaining to keep as moms for your next run. Maybe you will end up with 2 different females, you can then clone 50%-50% of each into your system and choose which are better for your next run...

Sounds good thanks. I will let moms grow a bit, I wonder how big till you start to see preflowers? Is it ok to throw both 600watt mh on the dwc mom seedling bucket?

You'll start seeing pre-flowers when you start getting good side branching. You need the side branching anyway to make clones, you cannot clone a single leaf, you need a stem with at least 1 node to clone. it might take 4-5 weeks to see pre-flowers.....maybe as early as 3... once you have passed the seedling stage (a few nodes) you can use the hps mh lamp... just keep it 4 or so feet away slowly introducing the light closer so to not burn them...
