My seed order was confiscated.

I live in the Midwestern US. I ordered from SSC on April 4th, my package was at the ISC in New York City for about three weeks. When I got it today there was a letter from the Department Of Agriculture saying my seeds were confiscated and destroyed.

Super sad day at my house.

Yeah, unfortunately. $150-ish. It was my first seed order and was so excited about freebies that I didn't think about spreading it around.

I emailed them to see what happens next. Hopefully they'll resend. :???:

Thats terrible man. When I made my first seed order many many years ago I was so uncertain that if mine had gotten snagged I probably never would have made another attempt. Fortunately everything went super smooth and turned out great.
Good luck in getting it worked out.

That's probably the biggest reason I been snagging up packs of beans from Greenpoint. The prices are cheap and no shipping charges, nor do you have to worry about customs taking your shit. 33.00 a pack for the type of genetics he's using and free shipping makes it well worth it to me. I send a money order and the beans are at my door the same week, can't beat that with a stick. Good luck trying to get it resolved.

Sorry there. I have never had that happen but worry about it every time I order. Keep trying with a different seedbank.

Yeah, I'm definitely really crestfallen about it. I don't think I'm going to give up though; I have significant pain issues because of my kidneys, and it's just cheaper than buying decent flowers around here.

Crestfallen.... had to google that one. lol

Do you live in the states? There's plenty of cool cats on here that do some breeding and/or have extra seeds laying around that might be inclined to share. Stick around for a bit and I bet you get hooked up.... just don't talk about it out in the open. Gotta stick to PM's or the posts will vanish.

How do you pm people now? When I was on during 2013 I remember there being a pm option but since I returned in 2015 I don't see that option on my setup. I do have the conversation option, is that pm now?

Thank you guys, I appreciate it. I had never ordered before, but had grown in my basement with some seeds my sister's ex-boyfriend gave me. He told me when I ordered to go to SSC because he did all his business with them. Then I was talking to a girl I knew several years ago who is growing in the Pacific Northwest and said she used SSC too, so I figured they were the people to go with. I looked around online and it seemed like each site had its advantages and disadvantages, but since this was recommended to me twice I figured I should go with them. And I got excited by the free Chocoloco you could get that weekend, and the free seeds when ordering packs and shouldn't have spent as much in one order. I just got excited, I guess.

We all do brother! I have been using NGR ( www.naturesgreenremedies.com ) for the past 6 months or so and every single order arrived with some nice freebies and stickers and random stuff like nutrient teas that you can feed your plants. Being a small ma and pa shop the downside is you might not get your order sent out right away. They are working on that issue right now and have expanded so hopefully no one can call them on that anymore. I honestly can't tell you how many orders I have made but it is like 5-8ish from NGR.

I have had excellent service from them and sent them my thanks because we all need to know that we are appreciated at times.

Others that I have used with great success

AttitudeSeeds (in the past when they had their shit together they were my go to. Get the guarantee or don't buy from these guys)
Herbies (terrible freebies and charges a little more than what you would get from the states but shows up!)
Seedsman (Best stealth, so so freebies, price was reasonable, not the best selection and has some old stock of certain strains)
Sannies Seeds (Biggest downfall, cash or money order. Best positive is his dedication to working his lines)

I made a small order from Herbie's, five Currant Kush feminized seeds from VIP breeders. I'm hoping, if nothing else, maybe they'll arrive.

I didn't know about RollItUp when I made my order, I wish I had known enough to come by first. Hopefully they'll be willing to work with me.
