Hydrocele! My youngest son had hydrocele along with a hernia that made it look like he had three balls when he was a newborn. When I was changing him and saw THREE, I fucking FLIPPED. I mean, I've heard of cryptorchidism, we all have (only one testicle or only one drops), butTHREE?? Turned out to be a hernia.

My first husband had a problem where he "twisted" the testicle. What actually happened was the testicle had somehow turned inside the scrotum and was pinching off the vas deferens (I think that's the part that was twisted, the bit that feeds semen from the prostate to the urethra). Doc had to untwist it by hand.

In California county hospitals cannot turn you away for lifesaving medical treatment. If it's not dire, though, I think they can indeed turn you away.

Dentists are not regulated the same way the medical industry is. It's one of the reasons why the same work done by two different dentists can mean the difference between a cheap-ass car and a South Pacific sailing vacation.

I found no free clinics in my area. maybe i searched wrong but couldnt find anything:cry:

Any advice Jonny-o?

The swelling went down, but the numbness is still there.
Call your state health department for a referral ASAP. Keep looking. Check your local newspaper for a public health screening at a shopping mall tomorrow. If nothing else, those private satellite clinics are reasonably priced. Call ahead to see if they will cut you a break, they may have a 'pro bono' or reduced fee program you might qualify for.
I "tested" myself on my wifey and everything still seems to be working well, at least i have that:hump:
LOL! At least the parts are still working.

Most US states have a state medical coverage person available in the hospital to help you fill out the papers to cover your ER visit. They may only guess fix you up and send you home but they have to treat you. The follow up care will be on you, but the state may help, regardless of your income situation.

Well, I did alot of research, and i called the county-health department and they told me the best way to apply for assistance is to go the E.R and apply after I am diagnosed, which kind of surprised me.

I decided its not worth the risk of having to pay a minimum of $2000, which i don't have.

The swelling went away completly, but the numbness is still there. Its really a catch 22, which im sure many Americans are in. Your health or your mortgage.

I guess it comes down to which affects more of your loved ones.

In my case, its the mortgage:neutral:

I'm thinking of marrying a Canadian. I don't get sick that often, but I don't want to go bankrupt when I do.

You only really NEED one nut, you know. :D

Hey, it's a choice I've had to make in the past, and even with health insurance it can be tough. Thank you, fucking HMOs.
