My Main Religious Text

I guess I have not really explained my actual religion too well yet, I have talked about my Gods for years now and I have talked about how my Religion was ignored by the Police when they Illegally arrested me for practicing it Legally, but I have never made an official post to talk about this book. I have mentioned it VARIOUS times over the past few years, but I have never done it like this.

Ok, so this is the "Rig Veda"

The Rig Veda is almost 4,000 years old at this point and it is the basis for many of the world religions we see today. It is the base of Hindu, Buddhism, the Roma tradition and many other traditions.

The Rig Veda is WAY better than the Bible. In the book it basically tells people what happens in life. For example, it uses metaphors like "A man goes from 4 legs, to 2 legs, to 3 legs", this means you go from crawling to walking to bent over with a cane.

It also talks about Cycles, and planets. So instead of focusing on Humans, it focuses on how Humans interact with Nature and how Nature interacts with Nature. For example there is the God "Indra" who is the storm, or "Rudra" who is the God who plays with Poisons and Cures. Then there is "Shiva" who is represented on Earth by the Marijuana plant.

There is an entire system of Medicine based on the book (and the other vedas) called "Aryuveda", and this is also where Yoga comes from. I just now decided that I am going to go back through the Rig Veda this month and post some more specific topics from it.

Sounds like its as interpretive as the bible. Do you nuts hate fags too?
I don't have any problem with gay people. I actually have suggested people register to become Polytheistic Ministers if they want to marry gay people.

And no it is not a white people religion, it is mostly still practiced in India.

Shouldn't this be in S&S&P? For any members interested in this subject, a thorough description replete with links can be found here -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rigveda

I have a feeling the wiki info may be more accurate than posts in this thread.

Now it won't be a tragedy if this thread is closed and/or moved. You're welcome...
