My First Grow - Nirvana Autoflowers

Hi everyone. I am on day 30 of my first grow. I have 10 autoflowers from Nirvana (5 Bubblelicious and 5 Northern Light) growing in 3-gallon pots of Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. Light cycle has been 20/4 throughout. I used a 600w MH for the first 4 weeks before switching to the 600w HPS a couple days ago. The tallest plant is 12".

Nirvana's site says that it takes 3-5 weeks to begin flowering and I am at the start of week 5. They smell really good and are nice and green, but not much pre-flowering going on from what I can tell. How do they look? Sorry about the pic quality. The HPS made everything look yellow.

Whatever you do, DON"T do what this guy suggested! Putting autos on a 12-12 is completely useless. I am growing a Nirvana NL and Bubblelicious right now and I'm at day 32 and just now noticed my first pistils. My NL is only about 10" tall, but really bushy while my Bubblelicious stands at about 14". I also have a Sativa seeds Jock Horror at about 15" that also just showed her pistils. Just be patient.

I suggest doing 50/50 grow and bloom the first week of flowering, then do all bloom nutes until, a week or two before harvest, then just use distilled water for flushing.

Thanks Ludicium. Checked them at about 6 am this morn and no pistils. Checked again at 10:30 and saw some tiny white hairs! Is this considered the first day of flowering or just pre-flowering? I've been using Age Old Organics Grow with a little Fox Farm Big Bloom. I'm going to be using the Age Old Bloom with FFBB for flowering. I also have some Mad Farmer Mother of all Blooms, which is 1-52-32. Haven't decided if/when I'm going to use that.

Thanks guys. I'm at day 34 and still no signs. My tallest is 17". Hey dazed, where did your first pistils show up?
They showed up second node from the top. You just gotta be patient with these autos. They don't necessarily begin flowering when they say they do, but if nothing happens after 6-8 weeks then you might have to decide if you want to go 12-12. I mean 12-12 for autos is not good, but there is a chance they might not be autos. It's frustrating having to wait, but if you have the time and patience just let em keep growing.

Thats a shame, my autos in soil showed preflowers 18 days in.
