Blowing on them does nothing. And giving your plants nutrients is more similar to food for humans. Them needing CO2 is like us needing oxygen (it's no coincidence - we turn oxygen into carbon dioxide and they do the reverse - it keeps the levels balanced in the world). Part of the reason people always talk about using fans is because it keep CO2 circulating around your plants, and therefore more is available to them.
I'd be a bit worried about that foil. Foil can create hot spots, and that could have contributed to the burning (it certainly wouldn't help). Foil looks like the best because it's shiny and bright, but flat white paint or poster board actually reflects light way better and helps with heat. I recommend changing that.

I know we breathe out CO2. I said it myself above: "we turn oxygen into carbon dioxide." The reason I'm saying it doesn't do anything is because the amount is too small. If I remember correctly from science, air is already 78% CO2 (that's pretty saturated), so a few breaths of higher levels of CO2 isn't gonna do much. I support the idea of talking while working on your plants - you do move air around and what not, and it may help (it certainly can't hurt). But if you're just standing there blowing on your plants then that's a waste of time. Again, air circulation (and therefore CO2 circulation) is part of why people use fans.

Aw shit, you're right. I wondered why that sounded fishy when I said, but I ignorantly didn't look it up. Bummer. Well, doesn't change the fact that blowing on your plants does almost nothing.

as for buying seeds, i really wouldn't waste the money... I'd definitely try again with the free seeds. I recommend starting at least 3-4 plants because it gives you a better success rate at getting at least one female.

What if they all turn out females??? Then I dont have enough room to grow them all....lol Im using the stealth rubbermaid grow box.
If you start 4 you've got a very good chance of at least 1 female surviving. If too many turn out female, you put them outside or kill them, if need be. Better than waiting through 5 weeks of vegs + 2 weeks of flower to find all males (if you risk it by starting only 1 or 2). Plus, if you're using bagseed, using 4 seeds isn't a big loss money wise.
