Well this is my first grow ever and im pretty excited after many failed attempts at getting my seeds to sprout out of the soil and one that did but died 3 days later. I had one that pulled through its about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks old now . I built a stealth rubbermaid grow box for the conditions I am in ... It has 6 26 watt cfls at the top and I have 2 42 watt cfls right by the plant about an inch and 1/2 above and a fan in the corner for strengthening the stem...

Quick question at what stage do I add nutes....i picked up some miracle grow with numbers 12-4-8....is this ok for now??? how ofetn and when do I start?

well tell me how she looks and ill keep updating my journal with more info.

peace.

dont use miracle grow plant food, i used it once didnt turn out too good, try using Flora Nova or go natural with Guano, roughly a few weeks in, only use a very tiny bit at first other wise you will get nutrient burns

Use nutes at 1/4 strength once your plant is 4 weeks old. Miracle Grow sucks...but it's ok if you have nothing else.

12-4-8 is probably not optimal, but it will work for the Veg stage, NOT for flowering. For flowering, you'll want 10-20-10 or something similar (more P is the important part).

Ok well the leaves on bottom seem to droop a lot and one leaf looks like its getting yellow spots......dont know if i had some lights too close or what...but also transported it today into an 8 inch plastic pot....went smoothly and watered with distilled water.
I also gathered snow from outside to use...........is this ok? Like once it melts and its room temp?

anyways anyone know what the yellowing is??
and does she look like I need nutes yet?

you don't know what is in it, it's way too cold, it'll either kill 'em or stress ;'em, possibly turning them male or hrermies. use tap water if you must, ph balanced of course, and yeah I use MG but am prob. the only one here who does, get good results, it's just a matter of money (or lack thereof) that I do use MG. I use tap water, letting it sit a day so the chlorine in it can evaporate. mix my plant food into it and water with a turkey baster.

those poor plants haha. check the pH, go for 6.5. check the temp, 75. stop giving nutes for awhile, flush it. regenerate this poor girl.

Plants get droopy from overwatering or underwatering. How much and how often are you watering?

Might be worth getting a moisture meter. The soil looks dry, but if you say its wet underneath then I don't know what to make of it.

On another note, your plant looks very compact. GJ with those lights. :D

I wouldn't add nutes while you're having water issues.

Do you have drainage holes on your pot? Some pots have a pre-built catch tray that's part of the pot (used for hanging), you might just be collecting water at the bottom if this is the case.

What is your soil content?

Another thing might be the roots. You want the roots to stretch in search of water. How much and how often did you water them since the beginning? If they are watered too much, they don't grow very far.

Try and give as many specific details as you can.

Well shit man. Lol. I have no idea.
You could try not watering it for a bit, because it might have roots already at the bottom that are sitting in that water.

You can use MG....just dilute it..... 5 gallon bucket of water and use the same amout of MG as you would for a one gallon at first. This will give you a 5 to 1 ration. The water will be a very pale blue. And only nute every 3rd or 4th watering. Do not start the nutes untill you have at least 4th set of leaves coming out. If you can get the money for it, use RO water...or find a local pet shop that has it...its 5 buck for 5 gallons. Its the cleanest water you can get. Hope this helps...Keep it up!! she"ll do fine.
