My first CXB 3590 run...

My temp this summer with A/C running were just under or at 80° with lights on.

All I know is that for me, in my situation it came down to not being able to cool the 600 watts of hps to the point of sustainability. It had nothing to do with how much it cost to run. Replacing 600 hps watts with 400 cob watts has filled my tent with high quality flowers year round... :)
yeah, its really not the cost im worried about. i basically couldnt cool my lights enough at certain points this year too. like it was sitting in the 90s with ac running constantly and the dehumidifier going.

Hi guys I've just been reading the whole thread forum getting all the information i can on cree cobs.

I'm into my second grow now with a Chinese import LED grow light (I know... Chinese import!!!) It's called a cheap £100 300w 9 band thing. You can find them on Amazon/ebay.

I have a custom made box
130 h/60 W/60 D.. cm
2 100mm fan intakes from fresh air
4 100mm exhaust fans
No light leaks
Running a 35 litre DWC system
Reserva Privada Kosher Kush
Ionic neutrients
Pk boost
PH 5.5 - 5.8
Temp at a solid 27°C
Humidity 20 - 50 %
Veg for 26 days 18/6
Now in flower for 30 days and still no Fucking flowering again.
My system is running so sweet now and I have no problems growing my plants it's just they never seem to flower till really late but the buds never develop. I am certain it's the crappy light.

So my question is what type of cobs & How many do I need for my grow space?
My camera on m phone is broken so I'll upload pics inabit.

Thanks for your help and happy smoking

Sounds like you have a really nice set up and your dialing it in @Smee23 . I have a couple questions first. Is your kosher kush a known cut or was it taken from seed? What size of room is your flower cab in? Dose the room have a good air exchange with the rest of the dwelling or building?

As for cobs I would recommend 1) HLG 150 1050B mean well driver, 4) Cree cxb 3590 cobs 3500k, 4) 140mm pin heatsinks, 1) dimming 10k pot... for this 150 watts of cobs you will be looking at a PPFD of 1024 in your area, more then enough... :)

My kosher kush was grown from seed. I went to Amsterdam for a smoke and to buy seeds this year.
The size above given is my absolute max of space. I know it sounds small but I have topped and mainlined very well and plants have finished stretch now but no pre flowers. Its definitely not male!
The grow box is in my conservatory where I maintain the temperature the best possible wit vents and ceiling fans. The air flow is good as doors always open.
Thankyou very much for your help

If there is a way possible the warm air leaving the cab should be vented to a different room. The exchange maximizes fresh, cool air and co2 uptake. I completely understand limited space because I deal with it as well. Is there any way possible to have a small mother plant cab so you can take a winning plant every time vs. hit and miss from seed?

Unfortunately I can't expand it in anyway or take the risk of venting outside. I have the air intake from outside but smell of exhausting out not good where I live ; )

Can anybody please tell me by looking at the pictures above if you think she's in flower/ going to flower. I switched 32 days ago now but it is meant to be a 70 day strain. I just don't know if I'm wasting my time and money. I really appreciate the input. Also can someone recommend a retailer I can obtain the cob setup above advised by @PerroVerde. Thanks

They don't look like theyre flowering really... I mean its hard to tell but you should have obvious signs of flowering like 2 weeks in.

I really don't see any bud formation yet brother. You may want chicken your timer, it's always where I seem to have a problem and the first place I check. If you have been on 12/12 for 35 days I might start worrying. At 7 days of 12/12 you should be seeing clumps of pistils at the interview junctions and tops. At 35 days of flower you should be seeing significant bud structure.

Another thing that can postpone flowering is a light leak. If a light leak starts mid flower it can herm your crop if it's there when you switch to 12/12 it can basically keep you in veg... :)

Stick one of those lux meter apps on your phone. one that saves history.turn off light, put phone in grow box, close phone box, get high powered tourch (or any light source) and try to get some light in to the box by hiting corners and seems. open box, check history.

Alternative, set phone to record video, put phone in box, etc, etc..

Although lets be honest, if you had to choose a 300w fixture that would fail to flower, you'd pick the Chinese one for £100.
