My first CXB 3590 run...

I like in a very dry environment, so I do hang the whole plant after I cut the major fan leaves. Then I hang dry till the stems stiffen but don't break which takes 3 to 4 days. Then I cut the branches into brown paper bags and let dry till the stems snap. Once the stems snap the buds get trimmed from the branches into 2 gallon, black food grade buckets about 3/4 full. These bud are still untrimmed at this point and the humidity is checked and the buckets are burped till they hold 65% humidity. The final trim happens about and the buds get weighed and placed in one liter wide mouth Mason jars for the cure. It's a two week process till complete. The RH in my area can be 20% for weeks at a time...

I have never had buds that didn't smell up an entire room or half a house after the cure. Most patients want a few Walmart bags and drier sheets to transport a sealed Mason jar. Even in a med state the cops will harass you if you smell like that. I'm running a purple kush x blueberry cross and in flower she has a very pleasant berry floral scent unless bumped or molested. After drying and the cure she gets loud, same goes for the hashberry but her undisturbed smell is faint fruit mixed with pine tar... :)
I'm the same way. 20% MOST of the year. But I've been wet trimming and don't wanna do it this run. I think I'll be hanging branches (scrog so can't hang plant) until it's dry enough. I'll probably leave whatever fan leaves are there on too just because there won't be very many anyways from the lollipopping I've done already. I even use a humidifier when I dry. I have to or they're dry in like 3 days. :/ never used brown paper bags though really. Just for trim. I normally just wait til the small branches snap and the big ones bend and then In to jars. Burp 2x a day first week, then once a day next week, then every other day the next until my gauge holds at 65% I can see inside the jar.

I have always used the old school thick brown paper bags between them going from the bush to the bucket. Seems to slow the drying process in a dry climate. The dry trimming also helps protect the buds from not getting beat up though all this...

Wet trimming sucks, buds dry too fast and lose some flava ... I haven't wet trimmed in years..I leave the fans on too..I like a longgg slow dry.
Ya I'm going to heed your guys' words and dry trim this run. I'm sure I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hashberry nom nom
Hashberry can be a leafy one but the smoke is so smooth and tasty. She is super thick and tight and weighs in fat. A dime sized bud in the grinder equals a nice J. I crossed a sweet sour bubble male to my keeper hashberry. If the pollen took the seeds will be deeper in the bug cause I hit her at three and a half weeks, we will see... :)

Several patients that don't even know each other have said hashberry has made them feel like a "ghost" (outside their body). It is not knock out potent but still super nice and has a positive medical effect.

Where do you get it? I can only find KUSH BERRY from DNA.

So you made hash berry by breeding the kush berry with what?
No, hashberry is from Mandala Seeds. The keeper I have is from a part of a pack I found that I had picked up in 06 and sprouted in the end of 2015.

I was growing out BOG sour bubble and found a nice male so I collected some pollen and hit a couple of the hashberry lower buds with it this run... Sour Hash Bubble... lol

BOG's Sour Bubble is low yield and so slow growing you wounder if it is still alive but super thick and crystal covered. SB dominated in crossed and I may back cross to to the hashberry if all works out. With the right combination of the vigorous part landrace hashberry and potent sour bubble could make for a very nice plant, we will see... :)

Damn, midweek has all BUT hashberry. Fruityliscious is bred from has berry and they've got it so I might pick one of those beans up.

BOG looks really good from what I've seen too. I just wish they had some fem choices. It's hard to do any regs when you run hydro.

Grow out moms and clone. I never run seed plants in flower. Clones are so much easier and by watching the mothers you can put like types together. You also get your full potential out of mature plants, quicker turn around times and quicker finish with clones. Picking clones from moms selected from seed runs and testing is the only way I have ever run. Pheno's from seed are to inconsistent for me... :)

Everything I have is in drain to waist coco coir. Moms and all, well drain then to the vegi garden outside...
Ya I've thought about using coco for some moms. Using like a 3x3 tent for them. Then I'd have a use for my gogreen again. But I'm one who likes to run lots of strains at once. Like this next run, will be 9 different kinds just kept at low ppms and very short to flip so I can control all the different growth rates underneath the screen. But there's a few I'm sure I'll want to keep after I run those 9 that I really like. Hell, in a 3x3, I could easily fit all 9! ;)

Hey PerroVerde, hows it growing man...looking good brother,i just re-did my room and hooked up the cobs and got the babies in veg, from clone...it was funny when i read u run clones and not moms, cuz im the same way,i grow out a seed and find the girl then clone her and flower the clones, helps u really c the genetic capabilities imo..anyways ill throw a couple pics of my set-up when i get here later and hopefully come out as nice as urs:hump:
i did notice tht the plants were all bleaching, and i was like wow, this light is so strong lol...but i raised the lights and giving extra cal and mag and its new growth is looking good..so i agree tht cobs do require more food for the girls from my short experience with them...anyways ttyl bro and stay green,ur doing an awesome job homie,i love watching the new pics as u post....:peace::weed:

droman80,
Thanks for stopping @dro-man80 ! I'm really looking forward to seeing your digs. Yes, cobs can make for some hungry girls. I would really like to hear from someone who knows why the cobs make these girls so much more hungry for cal and mag all the way through the flower cycle compared to hps. Cloning clones is what I believe to be a real way to find a gem from a seed run. When I cut the nutes back in the last week and a half I noticed these girls faded fast, it will be a few more runs before I have a full grasp of what is totally going on compared to all the runs under Hps....
