My DIY Fog Cloner

Well I guess I should have waited for the inserts to get here before drilling. It turns out that the inserts are all a hair under 2" so I had to rap a bunch of them in thin foam. It will just have to work for now.
Just get some 2" net pots and cut the net out of them. Leaving just the collar. They will fit perfect in those 2" holes and the neoprene inserts will fit perfect into the net pot collars.

Looks Good!
+Rep...... BTW, where did you get the fogger?

Well, goin on day 9 now, Some of the leaves started to yellow on them so changed out the water. It was looking pretty crudy and they all have root bumps so i figured that the ph must have been way out of range. I dont have a ph tester were they are so im not sure what it was. I just filled the res with store bought distilled water. Hopefully within the next day or so ill get some more pics up.

Good luck with your aero unit. Stealth Hydro sells garbage. Personally, I think it is impossible to complete a grow with their stuff.

Looking good! Is the rooting a little behind a normal cloner? Is there a special reason you wanted to do fog?
Thanks, I'm not sure about normal cloners because this is my first one, every other time ive done it in rockwool and that would take atleast 10-14 days. So I would say they are doing pretty well since they went a couple days in bad water, now I know to change out the water every 5-6 days. I wanted to do fog because I had never seen it before and it was actually cheaper then building a regular aero spray cloner.

How did you start the measuring of the insert area?
That was interesting!! I basicly made 18 2" round peices of paper and placed them on it to figure out were they were going, Then I place one in each corner as close to the corner as i could and then drew a grid on the bottom of the lid based on the four in the corners. Here is a pic of the grid i drew:

No the cross hatch didnt work out right, I measure across the 2 corners on each side to get my center line, then I used my paper circles to figure out were one of the center ones go, then I measued from the center line to it and that was my measurment for all of the center ones. Sorry its kinda hard to explain.

I understand. I am thinking about putting one of these together very soon.

How do you transplant the clones? Do you suppose they go into very much shock because they aren't already in a medium?

Well I'm in the middle of transplanting some of them right now, I'm just putting them into red cups for now. So far I would guess there will be no more stress then normal.

I dont even know what to say to that?
Sorry about that. Yes, was just commenting on how lucky you are not to have bought their junk and built your own. + Rep for the good job!

edit: woops, looks like I have to spread it around a little first.
