My clone from a flowering plant

honestly its not that hard. like i said people make it difficult.

i use general hydro's 3 part formula and my ph is that stable that i dont even use ph up and down after the first 4 weeks of growing. the nutes have buffers that keep them stable.

i check my ppm and ph daily just as a routine more than anything but its more so i can see what my ppm is doing. that way i know how much she is eating her nutes so i can adjust my feed strength at the end of the week. i do one nute change per week and just top up with water if it gets low in between changes

and yes it was around $100 for a good ppm meter and about the same for a good ph pen but if you buy good ones and look after them you wont have to buy another one for yrs.

honestly though hydro isnt for everyone. no harm in giving it a try though if you have the space you just might love it

Yeah, hydro is definitely some pro stuff that some of us may find hard to maintain. I guess it all comes down to a person's willingness to play around with it.

By the way, my clone looks like it is growing some new little pairs of leaves. The white pistils on the bud are growing too, it seems. So, it is vegging and flowering at the same time. That's weird, I really don't think that the clone is autoflowering.
The stem turned completely purple now. A day ago it was purple only in its top portion, close to the leaves.

The clone is still flowering as it is re-vegging. The nodes on the new shoots are growing pistils and calyxes.
Is this normal?
I thought the clone would stop flowering as soon as it enters the revegetation stage.

I don't think that it's an awtoflowering strain.

How much light are you using? even a 13w cfl still made my reveg plants do this,i find natural more pleasing for the plants as it's less intense around this time of the year.
I got a clone atleast 10 feet away from the nearest light source and it hasn't even wilted.

I am using one 34 Watt CFL light (cold light - 6400K).
The cycle is 24/0.
The light is hanging at about 3 inches from the top of the clone.

Do you think that this light is the reason why my clone keeps popping flowers even on its new shoots?

i re- veg'd a few different strains all at once and found they all react differently. one strain has fully converted back to veg now but the growth is weird all twisted and stuff. another hasn't even started regrowing yet and another shot a few green leaves but also seems to be throwing out more pistils. im sure given time they will all revert back to veg. also put some pictures up if you can because if its just some pistils at each node thats completely normal. all mature plants have pistils at nodes even while vegging

I can't yet take photos because the white hairs that the clone is shooting out of its nodes are still very tiny.

Are you sure that all plants have pistils at the nodes even while vegging? That's kinda weird...
I thought plants show their sex after at least one week of 12/12.
Mine is under 24/0 and is still a clone but the thing has pistils on it.

By the way, its overall looks is funny. :) All of its leaves are single-bladed and have smooth, non-serrated edges. Totally looks like a small ficus, lol.
It is growing very close under the 34W light, but I think it is stretchy.
It also has a very strong odor for just a 4 inch tall plant.

by the sounds of that your good.

plants from seed usually show pistils after 4 weeks of veg even under 18/6 lighting. once they hit maturity they show pistils at nodes. it doesn't mean they are flowering its just a sign of maturity. clones however that are taken off of plants that are already mature keep the same level of maturity as the parent so they will show pistils right from the start. since your clone is off of a plant that has already flowered it is definitely already mature so pistils are normal.

and yeah all the reveg plants i have seen have those weird single leaves at the start. they will work there way back up to normal looking leaves

Makes sense, thanks.
I'll soon add more CFL lights and will start LST-ing the girl.

I'd like to post some photos of my clone here, but I'm still kind of hesitant.
Is it safe to post photos on this board?
