My clone from a flowering plant

Hi people, I have one clone which was taken from a flowering mother plant and which was planted directly in soil. The clone was initially kept outside under indirect sunlight for one week. Then I brought it indoor and for the last 3 weeks, it has been living in a quickly made grow box under 24/0 of light. The light source is one 35 watt, 6400K CFL bulb.
The clone looks like it has rooted and it did produce a few very small new shoots with small leaves on them. The new shoots appeared around the bud on the clone's top (the clone had one small flowering bud on it).
Problem is that the clone won't grow more than that and it won't pop any new shoots. It doesn't stretch and it looks like the new shoots are not growing in size. The cutting just stays like that and there's no any progress.

I know that converting a flowering clone back to vegetation takes some time, but it's been 3 weeks under 24/0 of light and the plant just doesn't look like it's growing at all.
I also noticed that its stem turned purple.

Anybody with experience with flowering clones?
How long on the average does it take them to go back to vegetation and under what light cycles?
Will the plant start growing vigorously once it's back to vegetation or will it always remain small, slow growing and underdeveloped?
What can I do to make it go back to veg faster? Should I transplant it in a hempy bucket or in hydro or in something of that sort?
Lots of questions, hope to get some advice.
Thanks!

initial growth make take a while. 3 weeks is fairly normal.
growth will start ugly. 1 leaf sets, 3 leaf sets, etc. but after a few weeks to a month, all will be normal.

veg it in your normal veg room/schedule. medium does not really matter, do as you please.

Well, it's been under 24/0 for 3 weeks already now. Should I expect the plant to explode with fast growth any moment?
I don't have a veg room, just that DIY grow box that I made right before moving the plant under CFL.

Should I keep the 24/0 schedule or should I allow the plant to have some darkness too? Will a 18/6 schedule be more suitable? I am afraid to switch to a cycle that has a dark period in it because the bud of the plant looks like it is growing new white pistils. I suspect that the clone may be still flowering.

unless it is autoflower, then it shouldnt be budding.

either lighting schedule should work fine. i prefer 18/6 in all situations though.

it isnt still flowering mate its impossible if you doin as you say and its been under 24hrs of light for the last 3 wks its just a hard lady to turn and grow as it would in veg keep at ut and you ll get your reward with a nice lady thats as busy as fuck and wen it does bush out just remove all the
Shit flimsy stems it produces and train her hard you ll get more retarded growth eg twisted leafs without serations on them and bam she will be exploding with new growth believe me ive done it on more than a few occasions ;-)

@vilify The plant isn't really producing any new buds, but it just grew a few white pistils while some of the older pistils withered.
At one point I too wondered if this plant was autoflowering. The mother plant looked too big for an autoflower, though. Still, I don't know what strain it was as I took this clone from some grower's secret guerilla garden that I found while I was camping at a lake.
By the way, it is a very small clone, it's only 1 1/2 inches tall and in the beginning it had only two leaves that I trimmed the tips of. Now it has a few tiny new shoots with tiny leaves on them.

@cheddar1985 yeah, I hear that flowering clones produce bushy plants. Which kind of works for me because my grow box is not very tall.
The blades on the newly grown leaves are very narrow, they look like fucking pine needles. I think this is kind of strange.

Unless you trying to save genetics, taking cuttings that late is a pain in the ass and not worth it,get ready for 1-2 months of almost nothing happening, and with-in that time i could have a fully mature plant from seed.

Well, I can't get a new cutting because the plant that I took it from is probably already harvested by the guerilla grower who planted it. And even if the guerilla garden is still there, I see no point in replacing one flowering clone with another flowering clone.
Also, I can't grow from seed because I am afraid to order seeds online. As a matter of fact, I was very happy when I found that secret garden and managed to get myself a clone, without having to expose my billing or personal information on the internet.

I took 4 cuttings 4 weeks into flower and after applying a rooting hormone, stabbed them in solo cups of coco. Two came out great in a couple of weeks but two others, although vigorous, had frond sets of 3-leaves only and they didn't have the sawtooth edges along the sides. Weird they were...gave the mutants to friend that grew them outdoors and they went into flowering again immediately....they grew short little main colas less than 12" tall. The two that looked normal rocked on to some really nice 49" plants indoors. The strain was "Sweet Deep Grapefruit" from DinaFem. Sometimes you get lucky...

^ Very interesting. Do you know how long it took the two mutants to go back to vegetation?
By the way 12-inch colas sounds quite good to me.

My clone's leaflets are needle thin. And that purple stem is quite weird too.
Maybe I should try to transplant it in a hempy bucket, just to see if it is the soil that is messing it up.

It's just soooo much easier to take a clone and have success at it taking root during the veg stage... I've never had any luck in taking a clone from a flowering plant, as badly as I have wanted to continue growing and revert some of the coolest purps I've ever had... I think it's just too much stress on the cutting to develop roots when it's in the flowering stage. Itz just a bitch to try it then. Def clip during the veg stage... A lil rooting hormone wouldn't hurt either... Humidity domes over the clone trays also...

i have one 3 weeks in that has roots but no new growth. as i understand a month is pretty normal before they start to reveg. just stick with it

no doubt. i only took my clone to save a special plant

my little bud clone

and the frosty arse mum. sorry about the shitty buds but this is from the plant after harvest so its only the lower stuff left. she is revenging just in case the clone fails

I guess, I'll just wait another week then. That would make it a full month under 24/0.
My soil is really horrible. It's some pine turf stuff that has almost no perlite in it and also gets rock solid when it dries a bit.
Will definitely transplant the clone in something more suitable and see how it goes from there.
I wonder if transplanting it from soil to a hempy bucket is a good idea.

^ Yeah, I guess you are right.
Hempy is considered a type of passive hydro. Would it be more suitable for a beginner than a "real" hydro setup that uses a pump, an airsotne and all that?

yeah i havnt tried hempy but as i understand, it is a good place to start playing with hydro. i like full hydro many do not. its just important to understand hydro can be as hard or as easy as you make it. a lot of people over complicate it. the hempy thread would be a good place to start i think

^ I want to grow in real hydro and I can build the whole setup in under 10 minutes.
However, monitoring the solution two times a day and changing it every 3 days sounds like a lot of work for me. Good measuring equipment for the pH and the salt concentration tends to be quite expensive too.
