Dont wory about co2 yet give it about another week or so. Your plant has enough with whats in the room. It cant really absorb much of the co2 yet so its not really that effective.

Everything else looks good. Now the waiting game lol

Hey guys...just wondering, what's the best way to prep my 3 gallon smart pots for flowering ??Like how much to water, perlite percentage...ect. will continue to use FFOF for whole grow.

I'm going to put my 3 blueberry seedlings into 1 gallon pots first, until sex is determined.

Also, how high does my 400w MH bulb need to be during veg? Right now It's all the way up top. Same question for Flowering with the 400w hps. .

30% perlite to your ffof soil. If ur soil is brand new u should only water right where the plant is just to pack down the soil a bit. Maybe 1 oz of water. Dont water for a while, it shoukd have enough moisture to last a while. The amount of water u add to the plant is gonna be determined by how big the plant is when u add it to that pot

Do the back of your hand test when you're setting you lights. With a 400, you should be able to get it pretty close to the plants. My 1000 is about 12-14" from my highest cola.

-misting the plants 3x a day still...think it's almost time for an actual watering...

-Got the lighting and ventilation lowered to about 16 inches above plants yesterday, and they have responded!

- Temp is fluctuating from 76-81...Humidity is great...put damp white towels under the plants, and humidity went from 48 to 63 in like 5 mins... Awesome. Overall things are going great...now if my autofem Jack Herer would show up, that'd be great.

@Mr. Hush, Dude you are gonna do a great job even though you won't and it will be a lot of fun and rewarding no matter what. Be prepared to become addicted to growing. I am excited to watch to ride.

Thank you! I feel like it's coming together. I am learning more and more everyday...Thanks to you guys/gals on RIU...

I've never been a gardener...or had a green thumb... but I'm already addicted, and loving this! Now I just need to go ahead and move to a recreational state, and I'll be good.

Alright folks. Day 7... Things still looking good. No humidity or temperature issues to report. There is a bit of stretch to the plants, which is on me, since I had the light so high in the beginning.

Two questions today..
1) It seems that FFOF soil holds water really well...even with a good amount of perlite .So when i initially planted this group, I watered the soil before putting the seedlings in. At day 7, the cups are still a little heavy...Is this okay? Keep in mind I haven't had an actual feeding (water) yet... I'm concerned about root-rot.

2)Obviously its the holiday season, so I will be in and out visiting family... I will be leaving this week for a few days...My question is - would I be okay to go ahead and transplant the ladies into 1 gallon pots now - seeing as how I will only need to water the soil that is being transplanted, not the new soil since it's FFOF, too??

As always, you guys are the shit! Thanks!20151121_104758.jpg 20151121_104935.jpg 20151121_104944.jpg

yes they are stretching,, good thing they are still standing up, I say go ahead and transplant into the 1 gallon containers, and when you transplant, put the roots a little deeper than they are now, put about half of that long stretched stem down in the dirt, the dirt will hold them up,, then lower your light,, keep it on half power,,bring it down to about 24 inches above, maybe even 18 inches, then a few hours later check on them, if the leaves are not twisting your ok, you will be on half power for several weeks, plants dont need nearly as much light during veg,,
good job keeping your eye on the soil,, the ffof will take good care of your roots, stick your finger down there a couple of inches,, if it feels damp or wet,, dont water yet,, good job resisting the urge to over water and the urge to throw nutes at them,,,
the one gallon pots will take you almost to flower,, what I do is UP Pot them when they are teenagers, around 10 to 14 inches tall,, into thier final containers, that way they get really fresh ffof and then you dont have to ad any nutes for 4 to 6 weeks, sounds strange i know, but you will get nute burn if you start adding before you see any signs of nute def, and you may never see any,,, I did ad garden lime to my ffof this run, and I am going to use some Happy frog bloom nutes organic ( not the soil ), its got simular things to the ffof but in an organic concentrate,, then you can make teas later on and water them with it,, or you can spread it on the top of the dirt and scratch it in a little and the water takes it down into the soil each time you water, and because its all organic you dont get any ph issues or nute lock out like some people do when they use the "salts" type nutes with ffof
hope this helps,

Awesome, Mr. Fox... Thanks for the info. One thing: my lights are already at 16 inches... I think the stretch came from the first 3 days that I had the light really high... Do I need to go lower than where I am now??

I guess I have some work to do!
