I don't have any 300 watts yet but they sell them for $15 each at Lowes but it would only take maybe 4 on top n a few 100 watt ones on the sides I got two diff kinds warm n soft white not sure ones more yellow n some are white blue but seem to work nice but I have a 400 watt hps but it ran my bill up like crazy but I like it
Those aren't 300 watts. When using cfl use the actual wattage not equivalent. 400 watts is the same on your power bill whether it is cfl or hps.

thank you I just might have to run out and buy some more bulbs, I was unaware they had 300 watt bulbs that's amazing. as always I appreciate your input.

How hot it get there? Its been 100 plus here with very high humidity. They can take some heat.
You should shoot for at least 100 actual watts for the first plant and 50 for each one after. That is at a minimum. So aim for 4-6 bulbs for the first and 2-4 for each plant after. If you can try for at least four bulbs a plant.

Everyone bashes miracle grow. I don't use it because I'm organic. Other than that, mj will grow just fine in it. Most have problems with it because it contains time release ferts and can burn seedlings easy. Moisture control is one of their better products and is easier to use, even with nute sensitive auto flowers. The key to miracle grow is to keep it on the dry side as not to release to much fertilizer at one time.
just yesterday it was a hundred and eight degrees outside, my room doesn't get very hot I have my swamp cooler on all day, I blocked the light from my window which I felt has made a difference in temperature in the room. so now I have a goal, I think I will try 6 on top into hanging in the middle of the canopies.

well since I started I have only two main plants, since I've taken out the others I've noticed rapid growth in a lot of places. but as I look a little closer at them I am seeing whitish brown spots appear in the margins of the leaves, the lower foliage with the three leaves one of the leaves has died on the 3 and on the opposite the tip is turning yellow and brown. also my leaves seem to be folding inward and feel a little bit Crisp and dry but they still look green.

Please read a little. Cfl users, use the first number. When I say you need a hundred watts, I mean four of the 23w ones. The second means nothing.

whitebb2727 is correct. Your using the watt equivalent ratting, which is not the actual wattage of those bulbs. I have one very large 250 actual-watt CFL bulb, it was $55 and it weighs almost 10 lbs. I have 4 other small CFLs rated at 42 actual watts each...the box says they are 150 watt equivalent bulbs, but they don't actually produce this much light in regards to ratios. I short, you need to use the wattage equivalent of those bulbs to calculate your actual wattage. good luck with everything.

Yea I see what ya mean I actually hook up my 400watt hps the CFLs don't seem to be fatting up my buds anymore so for rest of the time I'll run it plus I like the hps lights but they run elec up lil more but if I can get thick dense using hps I guess its worth it in the end
