sex show!! check out the red-light district!!!

watch out for ppl on bikes. listen for the DING DING, so NO IPODS while walking....

the heineken experience was alright.... look for the I amsterdam sign, makes for a good pic.... AnnFranks house is cool not that great. the VanGoh exhibit is much better.

keep away from all the commercialized pot houses, over-priced, over-crowded, and not at all places i would've enjoyed to get high, ( MY PERSONAL OPINION)......... the one i enjoyed the most was La Tertulia, find it, its more of a south west direction, but it's still in the canal-zone, quiet, family-owned, and a great place to smoke some weed, do some shrooms, go upstairs, and just chilll before venturing out.........

always ask bar managers or bartenders if you can smoke weed in the bar before lighting up, some say ok, some say no way....

if your into soccer check out Ajax Amsterdams arena, very state of the art.

and just walk around, the best part of amsterdam is getting lost in between the leaning buildings and finding your way back.....

check out a site called the smokers guide to amsterdam.. it has a few hundred strains / smoke reports, and tells you where they were bought, etc.. excellent read to get an idea of who has what over there.. some coffee shops even sell the book with the same title for around 5 euro's or so, and its a pretty cool read and even has a nice map of the city with most of the better shops on the map..
rent yourself a bicycle for the day or a few hours, its the best way to get around imo.. just make sure you don't get a ticket like i almost did for riding it down a shopping street, whoops, my bad.. smoke a lot of hash.. where i'm from, hash is nye impossible to find, and over there, its super abundent.. check out the hemp, museum, pretty cool..
anne franks house was pretty damn cool to me.. crazy how steep those steps were.. i had to climb them like a ladder...... crazy to think that an entire family lived there and couldn't make a peep while walking up and down all those damn steps..
stay away from the big name coffee shops like the bulldog.. over priced and not the best quality bud over there..
grey area, grasshopper, rokerj, and abraxas were all some of my favorite coffee shops..

Great Advice guys...this is exactly what I need. We are doing 3 nights there before 3 nights in Belin or Iceland, not sure yet. The redlight is a must and I want to see van goh and ann frank house.

The hemp museum will be cool to see, never heard of it.

I am hoping that all the 2010 cannabis cup winners will be available and hoping to get some beans as well.

was living in Holland for 8 months. I recommend trying out some of the well known coffee shops in Amsterdam here are my recommendations in order of coffee shops and best strains. I live in San Francisco and am used to the very potent herb and sativa's are my preference.

Grey Area: A lot of DNA genetic strains sold here.
Kuchi
Headband
KC Jones

Dampkring: Coffee Shop from the movie Oceans 12, Nice typical dutch style shop, cool atmosphere
Amnesia Haze
Super Silver Haze
White Rhino

Barneys Coffee Shop: Cant say enough good things about this shop, expensive but worth it if you want to try exotic strains.
Acapulco Gold
Utopia Haze
Dr. Grinspoon (Strongest Herb I have ever smoked, pure heirloom sativa at 17 euro's per gram)
G-13 Haze

The Red Light District is going to have to be on your list also, even if you just walk through and browse. Visit Studio 80 or Paradiso if you want to party, I´d just spend every moment possible hash bar hopping.

coffee shops are the highlight. Never smoked hash, not sure if I will try it. The Red Light will certainly be browsed!!!

Hey I'll be there too! Getting to the Dam March 28 and leaving April 1. Spring break is going to be badass this year.

Anyone have recommendations of headshops? I'm thinking of buying a Roor at their shop in Amsterdam. Their glass is sick but I just don't want to pay too much.

On a side note, I'm going to buy a cheap throwaway pipe and grinder for when I'm done with my trip, I can't risk taking anything resinous home.

Was in amsterdam 2 months ago, smoked so much weed there.
It's funny because i have absolutely no weed here and lot's of hash!

Buy some joints and walk around in vondel park, it's an amazing park! also visit the zoo!

Hey I am new to the forum, I just actually finished off a two week tour of Amsterdam, Although I have heard from many sources that shrooms were made illegal. I found them very easily, there are several smartshops throughout Amsterdam that sell shrooms, salvia etc. Also I would say for places to go in Amsterdam, you have to go to the Hash museum. My favourite coffeeshop was hunters cafe very very good pre rolled joints. In fact its probably one of the only places that won't rip you off for pre rolled joints also they come in these cool cases. Have fun, Amsterdam is awesome

It's illegal there to sell processed [dried] shrooms. Fresh is OK.
