It would be a shame to pull the crop down early

I would buy a small ona gel and put it under the canopy with the lid off
There will no smell of weed and if my carbon filter stops working, it stops the smell of weed in a good size flower room in the last few weeks of flower.
I always use one when I have a smoke or chop the plants down,
The pot should last weeks with the lid off, so I would try it for a week before the boiler guy going to turn up and see what you think

I don't know how your Ruck extractor is set up but it should not be making much noise
If you hang the ruck extractor fan on chain and have 1ft min of ducting between the wall and fan, there should be a humming noise but not very loud
I can only just hear my 2x 8" and 2x 6" ruck fans throw a wall on full power

its hung by bungee in the centre of my little extraction corner, it's not so much the fan that makes the noise its the airflow 'whooshing' because it's basically attached within say 20cm straight to the cool tube so even though I have acoustic ducting (which quiets it a bit) it's not long enough to be used to it's full potential. and I have nowhere near enough space for 1 ft between the wall and the fan it's about 5 cm, this is a very micro grow

It would be a shame to chop early but I really can't risk it (as much as I want to) its not so much the guy being there it's that I'm not in and the landlord is letting him in waiting around and locking up. It wont be much of a loss, worst case if they don't fatten up any more I can just canna-butter them and have cake for a few months. There are other reasons I want to get this one out of the way, it's like if your not happy with a painting and it's just not looking right you start over, this grow, as good as it has been is just too overgrown, I'm not happy with it and I have my upgrades to do

I've just brought my new LED, went for a 270w one to replace my HPS, and got a really high powered Muffin fan so I'm going to run that for a week when it all arrives and see how it does for smell as I can have the muffin fan on 24/7, if it works I'll be leaving them in there to finish, If I do decide to leave them I'll grab a back up ONA as well! good tip XD

got me a 270w LED 3w Diodes, Adjustable optics, mixed spectrum with some warm white LED's so shouldn't get many CalMag problems touch wood!

a lot cooler than my 250w HPS I'll say and with a LOT less extraction so the same temps but using less electricity/cooling equipment!

but yeah they put out heat but not half as much as HPS or CFL's, they should also save me some monies on the old electric meter! (quite a lot hopefully lol)

The purple glow looks fucking brutal as well, I love growing with science, everything looks cooler

How much they run you in dollars.

They take up about the same footprint as a HPS with a reflector but are thinner so can be hung higher if needed.

I don't know about dollars I live off of the good ol' Pound £... but my current setup costs me £1.50 a day in flower mode and about £0.50 a day in veg mode (no 250w or big fan running) Hopefully I'll be running at about 90p-£1 a day in flower mode and 50p a day in veg mode unless I run the 270w LED for veg (probably will) it'll be about a 90p veg 90p flower split per day.

So double it to get a rough cost in dollars, I don't know how much your electricity is etc.

They do pay for themselves in the long run, they last a LONG time... I worked it out that you'd go through about 4-5 HPS bulbs in the life span of an LED @ £23 each which is about £115 or so plus the initial cost of the lamp/ballast/reflector, which is £150 (more if you get a proper hood) plus £60 for a high powered inline fan for cooling (which I don't think I'll be needing anymore) so your already at £325 plus the extra electricity used over the lifespan adds up more compared to LED... SO, your basic LED cost is (for a good Blackstar model) £250-300, say add £20 for a reasonable small extraction fan and you've saved yourself a good £50-£100 already.

With the 3w Diodes as well you get much better penetration so in my setup I think I can yield more than with my HPS, simply because I wont have as many heat problems and I'll have more height in my cab (so can veg longer).

I'm basing this all on rough estimates for a 250w setup (for both LED and HPS) and UK prices plus I've found that LED's go above and beyond their specified lifespan at full intensity still, so long as they are kept in decent condition they can last even longer than the manufacturer says.

As for the harvest, was a bit pathetic probably about 1oz MAX, just went round some mates with a bag of wet weed and said if you wanna dry it take a handful lol still got a jar of it for myself XD I've been waiting on mine to dry but I've been told that it's pretty good, surprisingly!
