actually, he first said he told his staff to tell his chief of staff within an hour if they knew anything. He asked his chief of staff if she knew anything and she denied it..
later in the 4 day, 3 night press conference, he slipped and said he asked his staff to tell him or his chief of staff right then and there if anyone knew anything.
that's him forgetting the careful script that he devised.
WOOOPS.
well, now that she has been fired, all she has to say is "he knew".Yet somehow you think an in depth interview with said liar would provide more information??
or the dude that was begging for immunity yesterday will get it and then the beans will spill.
yeah, and he said he was not interested in knowing why someone would suddenly decide to close down a bridge, and someone else would reply "got it".If someone lies to me in a material way I have nothing to do with them after that.
doesn't sound to me like something a former prosecutor would do.
he's trying to bury this one.
it took him 24 hours to fire her and the other dude, and the reasons he gave were complete horseshit. He fired her and did the right thing.
What else could he have done? (assuming he didnt know)
he didn't say he fired them for shutting down an interstate bridge, the busiest in the world, and making kids sit in buses all day, and killing little old ladies, and interfering with emergency responders, or anything like that.
he said he fired them because they betrayed his confidence. and remember, christie is the victim here!
poor christie. a victim of his own horrible judgment and the environment of bullying and retribution that he cultivated in his own office.
watch this one keep going, unlike all those fake scandals you dumb fucks tried to manufacture.
