Ha nice, but good luck getting other morel mushroom hunters to tell you anything about anything lol. I can't even get my own dad to show me his spots. The people that I know, find a spot, and try their best to keep it a secret

Hey everyone. Hope all is going good for you and your's. Just wanted to start a thread about Morel hunting, and or scouting for the best places to place a small outdoor crop. Been searching for morels (mushrooms) for a few weeks now with NO luck. Until a few days ago I was out in the woods and found a small patch of may apples, not even a ft or so away was an Elm tree that was dead. I noticed 3 HUGE morels just waiting to be picked. (: I still think it needs to rain more, and the temp needs to raise just a tad and hold steady for prime morel hunting. Feel free to post any of your morel hunting adventures, would love to see them. They make for an excellent snack. Here is those 3 monsters I ended up finding.
You should teach me. I don't know the first thing about mushroom hunting. Or identification. I know what a morel looks like, but I'm one of those guys likely to pick a Death Cap/Destroying Angel by mistake.

I do love me some black and white truffles, though. I think I'll make myself some Gorgonzola Fries with Truffle Oil tomorrow.

Just like magic mushroom hunting, some go to far lengths to find them....in my area, they could not grow any closer and it's def no secret ha,..under cow pies
Or you can just order spore syringes or prints instead of looking for P. cubensis in the wild, where if it's not bruising blue, you have a 50/50 chance of killing yourself.
