More than 8 months into growing, 16 weeks of flowering .. still no harvest

Growing somewhere in S-E Asia with tropical climate. I have it on my balcony which is surrounded by walls except the ceiling and grew to this plant.

Strain: local bagseed, sativa.

8 months so far going into week 34, this plant takes helluva long time, last week the buds finally started to take shape. Probably another 2/3 and maybe 4 weeks.

161cm right now, start date 1 May. Latest pics included, enjoy!

Peace!

i know of a thai/skunk cross that takes a minimum 18 weeks to flower out.......
just sayin ;) lot of the 'haze' x sativa crosses, take a while to finish, but the smoke is worth the wait, if your a connoisseur

You just don't have enough light.
Yeah i kind of guessed that. Only the ceiling is open and on a good clear day, i have 5, maybe 6 hours of sunlight.

This spot offers me good camo because the surrounding walls prevent others from seeing the crop.

DID YOU SEE WHAT THIS MAN SAID WEEK 32.............. HOLY SHIT I think you need to call it quits and start growing indoors somethings not right if your on week 36 and they look like they just started flowering 2 weeks ago Good luck Bro but i doubt those will ever be to smoke standard...

but look at those leaves they are skinny as hell, when that plant gets done it wont be a large yield but Ill bet that will be some of the finest cannabis around. pull the plant inside and LST it and get it into a 12/12 schedule to finish it.

Sunlight is my only option, no capabilities whatsoever to grow indoors. Too much heat here in Asia.

He said week 16 of flower. I once grew some true Panama Red decades ago that took 22 weeks to flower. That sort of thing can come with a true sativa and for those who have been unlucky enough to ever experience a true sativa, I can tell you they are more than worth waiting for.

Indoors our outdoors a true sativa will always take longer. They are a lighter green color than an indica, the leaves have less chlorophyll in them and the leaves are narrow and normally the bud to leaf ratio is high so the entire growing process is slower because of that, even in the very best of conditions and with the most light that they could possibly be under.

It is the price you pay to smoke the best that Mother Nature every created.

Since when did skinny leaves mean connoisseur quality? Get that thing on 12/12 lighting or wait for a small harvest in 3 months.

Well, isn't it just cheap and easy to buy there?
The quality is never the same here, you can get lucky sometimes and get good ganja. In that case you wanne stack up a supply coz you never know what it's gonna b next time.

Got my own pant now, been giving it a lot of care and attention. Pretty sure I can get some decent bud out of it.

The older leave were much bigger, but died off after a while. Typical Sativa leaves with max 5 fingers, very long.

I can't grow indoor unfortunately, but the tropics do offer me good sun.

Evidently you are totally unfamiliar with a pure sativa.

It is not skinny leaves that equate to connoisseur quality. It is the high you get from a pure sativa that equates to connoisseur quality.

Oh, I see. I would assume then that a true connoisseur would snub his/her nose at this plant which is receiving sub-par lighting, no? The buds certainly will not be grown to perfection at this rate. Who are these so called connoisseurs? Do they smoke Indicas and enjoy them? Are there hybrid connoisseurs who can accurately tell a plant's heritage simply by its fan leaves?

thats what i was gunna say. you could still get a decent yeild if you just finish it inside with a good light. lst also works wonders with the yeild

True but after that amount of time shouldnt they look a bit more developed then that even if its a 22-32 week strain?
