hey guys, i know molasses is commonly used in the later stages of flowering (as well as through the plants life)
why is this?
i know molasses is high in K
but i have sum potash
potash
Analysis
41% Total Potassium (K) as Sulphate
17% Sulphate (S) as Sulphate

and it is high in K, instead of finding sum molasses, could i just use this to the same effect? of fattening buds increasing weight
but i have also read sum thing about microbes with molasses
please sum one give me sum information :)

+rep for answers

Molasses feeds the microbes in the soil.

It does not fatten buds or increase weight, not directly anyway. Increased microbe activity, making nutes more available might do this, but not the molasses.

It also does not make your buds sweeter or add flavor. Company's selling overpriced 'sweeteners' imply this to get you to buy overpriced molasses and flavorings (sweeteners).

Molasses from the grocery store works just fine, or better yet, a feed store. In my area, a 5 gallon pail of feed grade molasses cost ~$20.

Oh, yes it has K, but you will probably still need your potash.

I don't depend solely on molasses for my K.
