Molasses work fine.
I add 1 tablespoon to a gallon of warm water then add it to my res.

Sweet and products like it are a waste of money.

Am I just stupid or am I just smart. I am under the impression that glucose cannot be taken up by the roots and only benefits the microbes in the medium. Am I correct or am I wrong. That said will the plant actually see and advantage from using any sort of sweetener.

Ive been told it does work. Ive been told it dosent work. My girls dont know it dosent work so there growing faster then anything Ive seen. Sooooo Iam not going to tell my girls it dosent work and Ill let them keep thinking it does and theyll keep growing and growing and Ill just keep binding over the huge colas that keeps trying to grow into my 1000w HPS. So I guess it dosent work but if you dont tell your plants it dosent work and you use it anyway theyll grow faster then any thing youve seen. Wink!!

i use this but have found it reacts with my other foods so tend just to feed it into my auto pot res by hand rather than put it into my big reservoir

any tips? goes like pink gunk and blocks up my tubes

however its a cracker and defo adds flavour so i want to keep using it

The beneficials break it down for the plant to use.

i think I'm gonna just suck it up and get a bottle of flora nectar it should last for awhile and its also derived from molasses and raw cane sugar so should work good.
I also seen Floralicious Plus, has anyone had good or bad experiences with this?? says its just an all organic enhancer to add along with your nute program..im all for enhancers :bigjoint:
Thanks for you replies everybody

What about Floralicious Plus is that worth it???? does it enhance as it says lol

I like the floralicious plus. Its pretty concentrated and contains humic acid n other good stuff. I use both the flora nectar and molasses for different things. I dont know if I would buy the nectar again (probably going with advanced nutes) but it has worked well for both soil and hydro. I like using the molasses in my compost tea made with kelp, fish hydrolysate/emulsion, soil(heavy humus soil is best), humic acid, and molasses to feed the microbes. If using molasses in hydro I wouldnt use more then like 1/2 - 1 tsp/gal or you might have problems with sticky everything. hope this helps =)

I use 1 tablespoon of molasses mixed in a gallon of warm water. Warm water helps it to mix well, then add that to the res.
Sweet, bud candy and sweetleaf are all a waste of cash, molasses are cheap and basically the same thing.

The only prob I've been having with the molasses in the res is that the pump psi is slowed due to sediment build up. So clean often and don't be like me having to tear apart my pump to clean it. Change the water twice a week and you can use molasses in Aero.

Wanted to bump this back up...

Using Organic Black Strap molasses (around 1tsp per gal.)
works just fine in a DWC, air pumps only, system.

^^
Any experience to share?

Mr I Can Do That For Half
You can use molasses in a hydro setup not an aero setup though. the only issues you may get are it does make a bit of a mess in a res or a flood table. If you dont grow in pots in a flood table and just use a table filled with hydroton I wouldnt do this but in potted plants filled with hydroton you can.. Its 1-2 table spoons per gallon of water. Do this the last 2-3 weeks before flushing. Do it for about 2 days before each res change in those last weeks do not run it the full week or it basically with froth up then can get very sticky. make sure you dont have any pump filters on when using it. I find this works best for soil grows and for hydro get a cleaned version like Sweet, Sweert Leaf, or Humboldt County Honey these rae more expensive but much cleaner and less issues... measurments of like 1 tsp per gallon do nothing
